Sister women‘ Christine Brown shared the “sweetest” moment with ex-husband Kody Brown before her marriage to David Woolley.
“Kody texted me on Valentine’s Day and he said, ‘Just wishing you and David a happy Valentine’s Day. It’s great that you’ve found your soulmate,” Christine, 51, shared We weekly exclusively on Monday, November 20. “I just said, ‘You know what? I hope you and Robyn [Brown] nice day. You deserve to have a fantastic day too.’”
Christine went public with her and Woolley’s romance in February and announced their engagement two months later. The couple got married on October 7 in a 350-person wedding in Utah. Although Kody and Robyn were not present at the ceremony, fellow sister wife said Janelle Brown was there to support the newlyweds.
Christine was spiritually married to Kody from 1994 to November 2021. She was the first Sister women star to announce that she and Kody had split. (Kody is legally married Meri Brown in 1990, but they divorced and entered into a spiritual union in 2014 so he could legally marry Robin Brown and adopt her children from a previous relationship. His spiritual marriage to Janelle began in 1993, but Kody separated from both Meri and Jenelle in 2022.)
When Christine left Kody with Woolley, she hoped things would “work out” between him and her ex.
“They also met in person a few times,” Christine said Us on Monday. “It all turned out fine.”
Christine went on to say that she is not concerned about how the men will interact in the future.
“I feel like it’s going to be okay because we’re all adults and we’re all responsible,” she explained. “We are all people who raised our children together. So it will be like that [OK] because we have to.”
Kody and Christine share six children together: Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Paedon, 24, Gwendlyn, 22, Ysabel, 20, and Truely, 12. (He is the father of 18 children in total.)
When it comes to her new marriage, Christine said Us she and David are doing “really great.”
“It’s like meeting a real companion, without the stress. Easy going,” she spoke. “He’s chill, he’s fun, and we just move around. [He’s] so romantic with just everything. It’s insane.”
When Christine decided to end her relationship with Kody, she began to “really figure out” what she wanted in a new romantic partner.
“Definitely, David is everything I hoped for at this point,” she said. “The best thing is that we realize that we both want the same thing and we’re just going to do it. It’s perfect.”
