A COUNCIL tenant has revealed that people always think her house will be 'filthy' and are shocked by how 'beautiful' it looks inside.

Cole Whitehead shared an insight into her town hall via a video on her TikTok channel @colewhitehead985.

“Not all public housing is filthy,” Cole said, before explaining that she did all the chores on the property herself.

The DIY expert then gave viewers an insight into the interior of her home.

In the hallway, the floor is covered with modern-looking wooden paneling and the walls are decorated with stylish prints and a large round mirror.

In the living room there is a large corner sofa at the back of the room and a huge TV hangs on the wall.

Behind the TV, the walls are decorated with fashionable wooden panels, and in the corner of the room there is a giant three-legged lamp.
Scattered around the house are cute potted plants and lots of picture frames, giving the place a very cozy and homely feel.

Cole's video has clearly impressed many as it has already racked up over 62,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users rushed to the comments section of the video to share their thoughts on Cole's home.

One user said: “Your house is so beautiful”.

Another user said: “Looks beautiful”.

A third person commented: “I love this.”

Tenants of the municipality are allowed to make changes and renovations to their home.

However, they must ensure that all work is in accordance with building regulations and planning permission.

Council houses are made available by local authorities to people in need.

Council housing is allocated to potential tenants on a points-based system, with those in greater need receiving homes first.
