Asif Ali Zardari: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari said on Monday that Pakistan will not hesitate to strike back against terrorists and that the deaths of soldiers will be avenged, according to media reports.

This follows Saturday’s attack on Pakistani forces in which seven, including two officers, were killed in the Mir Ali area of ​​North Waziristan.

“This noble sacrifice is yet another glorious testament to the unwavering determination of our brave sons, who never hesitated to make the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of our motherland. The entire nation stands in solidarity with our armed forces,” Dawn newspaper quoted the Pakistani president as saying.

According to Pakistani media reports, the terrorists targeted a police checkpoint in Ambar Dub Chowk, a tehsil in Mohmand district, with hand grenades.

President Zardari had also attended the funeral of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar.

“Pakistan would not hesitate to retaliate if attacked by anyone on its borders or within its territory. The army and the people were united in the fight against terrorism,” the Pakistani president said.
