Dramatic moment Russian motorcade is overshadowed by cluster bombs after Putin's forces were thrown on a suicide mission
INCREDIBLE new footage has emerged of the moment Ukrainian forces dropped brutal cluster bombs on a column of Russian vehicles.
Vladimir PutinThe country's troops were wiped out after being deployed on what was essentially a suicide mission in the eastern Donetsk Oblast Ukraine.
US-supplied enhanced conventional munitions (DPICM) – also known as cluster bombs – were air-dropped. sky late last year on a convoy of lightly armored Russian BTR-80 vehicles north of Avdiivka.
The munition opened in midair, releasing dozens or hundreds of devastating explosive submunitions.
Such bombs can saturate areas as large as several football fields, will almost certainly kill or seriously injure anyone within the attack area.
The Russian vehicles passing through Donetsk are said to have carried “the attacking infantry” at the rear of the column.

Dramatic video showed the cluster bombs hitting their targets and exploding on the ground as smoke billowed, vehicles sped out of line in several directions and terrified troops ran for their lives.
One clip showed flames erupting from the tops of several moving Russian BTRs, or Bronetransporters, which translates to armored transporters in English.
The BTR-80 armored personnel carriers seen in the video are 8×8 machines designed in the Soviet Union and adopted by the Soviet Union. Army in 1985.
They are intended to transport personnel to the ship battlefieldprovide direct fire support and assist in reconnaissance, combat support and patrol missions.
The Russian army is said to have ordered 100 BTR-80s in 2006, but the vehicle is also in service with Ukraine and other countries.
It comes as Putin, 71, gathers a huge army on the eastern flank of Ukraine and Russia prepares to bomb key Ukrainian city of Kupyansk ahead of 2024 presidential elections next one month.
Forty thousand troops, 500 tanks and hundreds of howitzer artillery guns were ready today unleash hell as Moscow's forces closed in.
The Ukrainian Center for Defense Strategies explained: “The Russian Federation plans to seize the entire Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and part of Kharkiv Oblast up to the Oskil River by March 2024.”
Russia reportedly plans to seize everything east of the Oskil River, which flows through Kupjansk from the north.
Putin has aggressively thrown in his troops attacks on meat grinders by Ukraine frozen eastern front line, which was central to his winter offensive, since October.
The Russian president is desperate for a major victory before the elections rubber stamp elections in Marchwhich will almost certainly extend its brutal rule over Russia until at least 2030.
Some, including prominent Russian commentator Alexander Nevzorov, have argued as much Putin aims for victory in the war-torn city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region by all possible means.
He said: “The entrance to Avdiivka has long become a huge mass grave [Putin’s fighters].
“But now the Russians are covering the area with a new carpet of their corpses.”
Ukraine is said to have pushed back and prevented the largest number of Russian attacks on the Avdiivka front in 24 hours: 30, with a total of 66 combat actions.
Nevzorov said there was no military reason for Putin wanting to “liberate” the city, adding: “In all polling stations, the ballot boxes must bow to the mad king of corpses…
“The fighting is crazy.
“Orcs [Russian fighters] climbing over the corpses of their comrades, 'forward to the victory of Putinism'.”
