The pair took to Instagram to share the news, sharing a slew of sweet snaps together, captioning the images: 'Hell Yes [ring emoji].'

A source told The Sun at the time: 'Ed and Amy are a really good fit. We clicked immediately.

'Both like to have fun and are career-driven. For now they're enjoying getting to know each other.'

The couple became Instagram official just ahead of Valentine's Day 2022, with Amy writing a sweet note on her social media just in time for the occasion.

She wrote: 'Happy Valentine's Baby – forever grateful for the endless belly laughs and ultimate love!'

Last year the couple moved to a new house and have been busy with the renovations.

“We have a new place in the countryside just outside London,” he told the Daily Mail of his move from the capital.

'I'm decorating the house at the moment, I'm a bit of an interior designer.'

Speaking about Amy, he added: 'Things are great – she's my best friend.

“She's a great mother, all those things you want, which I've seen in my mom and dad. I hope I get my version.'

Last year, when asked about the prospect of marriage and children in an interview with Hello! magazine, Ed said, “Yes! A hundred percent. I grew up in a wonderful household where my mother and father were married.

'My parents loved each other dearly until the end. I idolized them and their relationship. Exactly that kind of support!'

The actor further explained that his father died ten years ago and his mother died in September 2022.

Ed's mother died of mesothelioma, a form of cancer caused by asbestos.

The star said that even though he can't talk to his parents, he knows she is still there with them.

'I remember her hands or her shoulders, which I touched. “I have her voice notes and clips of videos of her,” he added.

“I miss her a lot, but I'm trying to think about the future to stay positive, like getting married and having kids and stuff.”

Amy previously dated hotelier George Panayiotou, with the pair getting engaged in January 2019 and welcoming a son in September.

They broke things off in 2021, before her relationship with Ed began later that year. The model and the hotelier's son, named Andreas, are now four.

Ed previously dated South African model and influencer Tamara Francesconi for two years before the couple split in 2021.

Amy has starred in a series of Indian films, mainly in the Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages - after, by a twist of fate, she auditioned for a film in London.

Ed is best known for playing the troubled but lovable Chuk Bass on Gossip Girl, a character known for drinking and dating girls like his fellow St. Jude's student, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).

After the show ended in 2012, it was rebooted with a new cast, and Ed confessed that he would love to reprise his role if they had him.

Unfortunately, the series was canceled after two seasons.

The original show followed the lives of privileged teens who attended an exclusive private school in Manhattan and the mysterious blogger who anonymously revealed their scandalous secrets.

“It blows my mind and it feels crazy to be part of something so big,” Ed admitted. “It was a big part of my life then and it still is, and now, with the reboot, it can be enjoyed by a whole generation.”
