Europa League draw revealed as Liverpool, Brighton and West Ham learn their fate

The Europa League last 16 draw has been announced and there are some tasty ties for the British teams.

Premier League trio Brighton, Liverpool and West Ham have all discovered their destiny alongside Scottish giants Rangers.

Liverpool will take on Czech side Sparta Prague as they look to give Jurgen Klopp a European dream of a farewell.

Meanwhile, Brighton take on Roma after topping their ‘group of death’, which hosted both Marseille and Ajax.

The Hammers are looking to make even more history in Europe this year after winning the Conference League last season.

And their journey to reach a second successive European final will continue when they take on Freiburg in their last 16 tie.

David Moyes’ side were in the same group as the German club and defeated them both times.

Rangers will also continue their European journey with a tough match against Benfica.

The Ibrox team went all the way to the final in 2022, but ultimately suffered heartbreak at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt.

And Europe was difficult for them to get to grips with last season, as they lost every match they played during their Champions League campaign, finishing bottom of their group.

The next round starts on March 7 and the second leg of each match will be played just a week later on March 14.

And there will be more high-profile clashes away from home countries, with French heavyweights Marseille taking on Spanish superstars Villarreal.
