A WEDDING guest has shocked people by turning up to the ceremony in a long dress, with people saying she threatened to put the bride on stage.

Many people know that the first rule of going to a wedding is: don’t wear white and the dress was dangerously light in color.

One of the other guests shared photos of the stunning dress, which had a high leg slit.

The top part of the dress had a corset-style fit, with small straps, while the pale fabric was decorated with sequins.

They continued writing Reddit: “Saw an acquaintance at a wedding last night. Still shocked by what she was wearing.

“The theme was formal.”

The dress was so long that it had a train, which made it look even more bridal.

However, the friend revealed that the woman planned to take it a step further and wear a large tulle skirt on top.

Ultimately, she opted for the look, which would have looked even more like a wedding dress.

The woman ultimately opted against the skirt because she “didn’t have high enough heels” and “didn’t want the dress to drag.”

People were quick to share their thoughts on the dress.

One said: “Wearing a wedding dress to someone else’s wedding makes someone look pathetic and desperate for attention.”

I won’t let my daughter use my dress for her wedding because she is bigger

Another added: “Wearing white to a wedding that isn’t yours just screams that you are tacky, low class and desperate for attention.”

And a third said: ‘I really hope someone wears white to my sister’s wedding. Because we agreed that I will be the one walking around with the super soaker full of red wine.”

We previously shared how a wedding planner was left fed up after noticing four women showed up to a ceremony wearing white-toned dresses.

Last night I saw an acquaintance at a wedding after years. I’m still in disbelief at what she was wearing

Her annoyance was so great that she could not bite her tongue.

Wedding planner Cari Izaguirre said there is no reason for a guest to ever show up in the same color as the bride.

Speaking of etiquette, she said in the clamp: “You don’t wear white to a wedding. Or light ivory. You just don’t do it.”

While standing outside a reception she was hosting, she said four people with sporty appearances crossed the line.

This came after a wedding guest was criticized for wanting to wear a dress that was “too white”.

She planned to add a tulle skirt on top, but she didn't want it to drag.
