Google TV viewers get a free upgrade with 35 free movies
GOOGLE TV has added more than 30 Oscar-nominated films to its platform ahead of the 2024 Academy Awards.
Launched in 2010, Google TV is a user interface that runs on top of Android TV and allows users to stream content.
And to celebrate the Oscars, which take place this Sunday, the service has added several new titles for streaming.
These films, all of which have been nominated for Oscars in the past, can be streamed completely free.
However, viewers will have to watch ads every now and then in return.
The list includes titles from the 1960s to the early 2000s, including blockbuster hits like The Big Short and Forrest Gump.
Some other popular movies now available for streaming are Babel and Dances with Wolves.
Monster’s Ball and the cult classic Pan’s Labyrinth are now also available to watch.

The movies rolled out on Monday, March 5, Google confirmed to 9to5Google.

Some of the popular titles include Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie, Anatomy of a Fall and The Holdovers.

OSCARS 2024
The 96th edition of the Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
The event will be broadcast live on ABC in more than 200 territories.
The Academy Awards are held at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
