I’m afraid the dress I bought isn’t suitable for a wedding; he’s a bit white

A WEDDING guest bought a dress that is a little too white for comfort.

People warned her about the fashion mistake, but she insists the bride agreed to it.

Sydney Borden (@syd.borders) filmed himself talking about the controversial dress in a video on TikTok.

She spoke in front of a green screen with a photo of a long floral dress behind her.

“Is this suitable to wear to a wedding or is this white?” she said.

“I was shopping online in the middle of the night last night and ordered this from The Real Real.

“And I woke up this morning and thought, it’s a little white, right?”

She explained the dress code of the wedding event.

“The goal is a floral, floor-length formal dress. That’s a mouthful,” she said.

“The vibe was floral, formal, a floor-length floral dress, formal and I thought, this is perfect. Add to cart. Bye.

“And then I thought, oh, shit. Is that okay? I can give it back, but thoughts?”

The dress is called the Mac Duggal Floral Print Long Dress by The Real Real, currently sold out but on sale for $460.

“Is this wedding guest appropriate or not?” she asked in the caption.

“It’s not white, but it feels very bridal. It depends on how chill the bride is,” one viewer commented.

“She said it was OK,” Borden replied. “I think her dress is even more extravagant and beautiful, so this one is okay.”

“It may photograph a bit whiter, especially if you’re in the sun at all,” said another.

“Oh, that’s a good point,” Borden wrote back. ‘If it looks white in the sun, I won’t wear it. I’ll bring a backup.’

“Definitely not for a wedding guest, but for some other elegant event? Yes, it’s beautiful,” said a third.

“No, a different base color would be fine,” Borden replied.
