Guns N’ Roses delighted fans on Saturday after inviting Dave Grohl to perform a surprise final song at Glastonbury.

The rock band headlined this year’s Saturday night at the iconic festival, bringing the original lineup of Axl Rose, 61, Slash, 57, and Duff McKagan, 59 – who reunited in 2015 – to the Pyramid Stage.

After performing a host of their big hits, the rockers surprised fans by inviting Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to help them wrap up their set.

Introducing Grohl, Axl Rose stated, “There’s no such thing as too many f****** guitars.”

The band then embarked on an explosive performance from Paradise City, after which they bowed and Slash performed a handstand as he left the stage.

It wasn’t Grohl’s first appearance at the festival, having previously guested with The Pretenders on Saturday and played a secret slot with Foo Fighters earlier on Friday.

Founded in 1985, Guns N’ Roses has had huge hits that have stood the test of time, such as Sweet Child o’ Mine and Welcome to the Jungle.

Axl Rose looked edgy in leather-look pants and a black graphic tee, which he paired with white sneakers.

Showing off his tattooed arm, he wore thick black leather bracelet cuffs as he put on a very energetic performance.

Meanwhile, guitarist Slash rocked his signature black top hat.

The pair were also joined on stage by the likes of Duff McKagan and wowed the packed crowd with their heavy rock setlist.

Earlier in the set, however, fans continued to complain after Axl appeared to have some microphone issues.

The singer said to the crowd midway through the performance, “I can’t walk out this far because when I do, all I can hear is myself and I can’t hear the band.” I’m not trying to whet.’

Consequently, viewers at home thought Axl Rose sounded like their “dad doing karaoke.”

“Axl Rose sounds a bit like when your dad lit up the home karaoke set in the garden during lockdown,” one person tweeted.

“Your man Axl Rose sounds like a guy doing Guns n Roses at karaoke,” added a second.

“Axl Rose with a good pub karaoke rendition of Slither,” wrote a third.

“Slash still got it, Axl sounds like your dad here after a few pints of karaoke,” said another.

While another thought, “Axl rose really has the vibe of a drunk uncle doing karaoke.”

It comes after Dave Grohl proved he’s not above traveling with the masses despite his massive fame when he took the train to his surprise appearance at Glastonbury on Friday.

The 54-year-old Foo Fighters frontman mingled with travelers on their way to Somerset, before heading to the Pyramid Stage.

Dave popped up on Great Western Railway’s official Twitter account in an instant posing with the train guard.

They wrote alongside the photo: ‘Even rock royalty know there’s no better way to get to Glastonbury than by train! You never know who will be boarding our trains! #FooFighters #Glastonbury23 #TheChurnups.”

The iconic rock band took to the legendary Pyramid stage just before Royal Blood on Friday at 6:15 p.m.

The artist joked about the Foo Fighters’ secret appearance at the festival, knowing it had been leaked the day before, telling fans, “You guys knew it was us all along, you knew it.” We’re not good at secrets.

‘Well, it’s nice to see your faces again, it’s been a long time. This is another beautiful day, another beautiful audience.’

During the performance, Dave’s daughter Violet Grohl made a surprising appearance on stage, while her loving father said she was his “favorite singer in the world.”

“This is a song we wrote for my mom, Violet’s grandmother, it’s called Show Me How and it goes like this,” Dave revealed in a heartfelt moment.

He followed up with a huge shout out to the band’s drummer, Josh Freese, saying he was “the man who helped us get here today,” after Taylor Hawkins’ passing last year.

Mainman Dave and the rest of the band then proceeded to pay an emotional tribute to Taylor, dedicating their performance of Everlong to the late artist.

At the end of their sensational set, Dave poked fun: “Well, it’s nice to be here for 58 minutes and 30 seconds.”

“We usually play this as our way of saying goodbye, because we never like to say goodbye, because I think if you guys come back, we’ll be back soon.”

“But I already know we’re coming back for a whole f****** tour, but I want to thank you all for the past 28 years.

“I’d like to dedicate this song to Mr. Taylor Hawkins,” he added, referring to the late drummer.

“So let’s sing this one loud, we miss Taylor.”

Former Foo Fighters drummer Taylor passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest shortly after his 50th milestone birthday in March 2022 while on tour with the band.
