Halle Bailey thanks ‘real’ fans after constant comments about her body
Halle Bailey has an important message for her fans.
“I am very grateful for my true supporters who respect women’s bodies and are loving,” 23-year-old Bailey shared on Wednesday, December 6, via her Instagram Story. “Being under a microscope isn’t easy, but for the real people who religiously show unconditional love. I appreciate you.
The actress noted that she feels “so blessed and grateful” despite experiencing some negativity as her star continues to rise.
Some fans suspected that Bailey acknowledged rumors that she is pregnant with her and her boyfriend DDG‘s first child. Bailey previously hit back when she claimed she had a ‘pregnancy nose’ last month.

“Listen, if I see anyone say anything about my nose one more time, there’s going to be hell to pay,” Bailey wrote on Nov. 18 via her Snapchat Story. “And do you know why? Because I’m black. I love my nose.”
She added: “[What are you] worried about my nose? For God’s sake, leave me alone!”
Fans have been speculating for months that Bailey is hiding a baby bump as she poses in flowing outfits on various red carpets.
The rumors reached an all-time high when Bailey presented at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2023 in a long flowing dress. Days before the event, Bailey said We weekly exclusively that she was ready to “change it up a bit” with her fashion and “step out of the princessy looks” after her historic turn as Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaidwhich premiered in May.
Bailey has often been outspoken about dealing with haters, especially when it comes to her appearance. During an interview in September with CosmopolitanBailey reflected on how her fashion sense has evolved as she’s gotten older.

“I look back at some of my red carpet photos and smile,” Bailey said. “As I get older and my body changes, I’m learning who I am. I want to be sexy. I want to feel good. I want to wear clothes that reflect where I am in life.”
Bailey also credited her older sister, Chloe Baileywhen discussing her ‘deeper and greater’ self-confidence.
“She has always been an outgoing, sexy, demanding presence,” she said of her sibling. “She helps me find my way in this whole world of grown women.”
