He Went That Way trailer: Jacob Elordi stars as a serial killer who remembers the story of the only man he left alive

Jacob Elordi starred in the trailer for the upcoming thriller film He Went That Way, which was released on Thursday.

In the clip, the 26-year-old artist played the role of a serial killer who tells the story of the one man, played by Zachary Quinto, he left alive during his crime spree.

The movie star – who recently bonded with his Euphoria co-star Colman Domingo – was also joined by artists like Patrick J. Adams and Troy Evans in the upcoming feature film.

The trailer opens with Bobby Falls (Elordi) being arrested by a group of police officers before admitting to killing five men. He tells the police to “ask me about the one I left alive.”

In a flashback, Falls is picked up by Jim Goodwin (Quinto) while hitchhiking through the desert, and he ominously states that there’s “plenty of room here to do some damage.”

Falls later reconnects with Quinto’s character, who proposes a deal where the former will leave him alone if they arrive in Chicago without incident.

Goodwin then tries to lift Falls up to turn away from a life of crime, telling him, “If I can teach a chimpanzee to play the piano, you can do whatever you want.”

Although the two attempt to reach Chicago, Elordi’s character quickly resumes his crime spree and gags Quinto after stealing his car.

The trailer ends with Falls asking an unseen character, “So from now on we’ll be honest with each other?”

Development of He Went That Way was announced in 2021, when the feature film’s stars were first linked to the project.

The film is based on the non-fiction novel Luke Karamazov by Conrad Hilberry, which is based on the crime sprees of brothers Larry and Danny Ranes.

The feature was directed by Jeffrey Darling, who died in a surfing accident in March 2022.

He Went That Way made its official debut at the most recent Tribeca Festival, which took place in June.

The feature has received mixed reviews from critics and currently has a 50% rating Rotten tomatoes.

The film will be released on January 5 in limited release and on demand on January 14.
