Heinz launches a new baked bean flavor.

The US food giant has teamed up with Cornish cheesemaker Cathedral City to launch British Cheezy Beanz, a twist on the original baked beans.

A limited edition of 500 cans of Cheesy Beanz will go on sale online at noon on Valentine's Day and hit supermarket shelves nationwide from February 21.

The beans, that is mixed with cheddar and topped with tomato sauce will be sold for £1.80.

The funky flavor will also be available in a limited edition of 500 for Valentine's Day, when foodies can get the cans from 12pm.

Alessandra de Dreuille, Meals and Insights Director at Heinz, said: 'We know that Brits absolutely love pairing beans with cheese.

“We are excited to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City, bringing bean lovers across the country the ultimate perfect match.

'And what better time to launch this cheesy duo than in the run-up to Valentine's Day!

This comes after the company launched a unique range of flavored beans last year, combining two British classics into one.

Curry and beans might not be two menu items you'd put together, but Heinz has taken the bold plunge for National Curry Week.

According to the spice brand, the idea was inspired by the British love of curry and baked beans.

To please the palates of its customer base, Heinz has launched three new curry-flavored baked bean products.

First up is a combination of the nation's favorite dish – Chicken Tikka Masala – and the brand's flagship product – read more to discover the rest of the range.
