A man who earns up to £1,000 a week from dumpster diving has unveiled his latest incredible haul from B&M, including a brand new gold drinks trolley.

Martyn, 47, from Kent, who goes by the name Dumpster Diving UK TikTok and YouTube, wants to expose the enormous amounts of retail waste with its content.

In a recent video he went to a B&M store where he showed off what he found in the large bins behind the store.

In a clip that has been viewed more than 290,000 times, Martyn found an LED mirror and a drinks cart. and a kettle.

In the video he says: “Here we are at B&M,” before picking up a box with an image of a mirror.

Martyn, 47, from Kent, went to B&M bins and found £200 worth of items, including a gold drinks trolley

‘Look at that!’ he says, picking up an LED mirror, currently on sale online for £18.

Then in the video Martyn finds a brand new Russell Hobbs brand Classic Glass Kettle in the bin, worth £30.

He says, “Nice, it’s an LED kettle,” as he takes a look inside the box to check the condition of the item.

In another box he finds ‘cyborg fighting robots’ toys, these are the remote-controlled Cyborg Slam Battle Bots that B&M sells for £15 but are now on sale for £7.

He also picks out a three-in-one charging station from Goodman, which ranges in price from £20 to £30 online at B&M.

The dumpster diver then sees two more mirrors in perfect condition, and a 6ft blossom tree with a sticker saying it cost £60.

He then pushes brand new lampshades aside to pull out a chic drinks trolley box.

It’s a B&M Deco Glamor Drinks Trolley in gold, which usually costs £20 but is currently on sale for £17.

Martyn previously revealed he found £100,000 worth of stuff in one go.

He started dumpster diving as a child to support his family and has now made it his full-time profession.

He has said: ‘It’s an incredible amount of money. As a child, I grew up in a struggling family. One day I found food in a Tesco bin and that’s where it all started.’

His biggest haul included £30,000 worth of beauty products at a distribution centre, £100,000 worth of nail polish and even iPhones and hard drives.

The £100,000 worth of nail polish came from a huge quantity of 50 boxes containing around 300 bottles in each.

Martyn, who does not want his surname published, earns between £200 and £1,000 a week from his catches.

He goes diving on the weekends and spends about 12 hours a week hunting and the rest of the time he spends repairing, selling and donating his gear.

Martyn added: “I don’t want everyone to think they can make a living by jumping into dumpsters. I’ve been doing this for years.’

But Martyn is disappointed to see how much waste there is, given the current cost of living and the climate crisis.

He said: ‘It’s criminal what they’re doing.

‘I only look in general waste bins, everything that is not recyclable should go there, things like cardboard and plastic should be recycled.

“I see that stuff all the time. The worst for recycling is Smyths Toys. They throw away an incredible amount of stuff.

‘The best places are the places I enjoy the least, places like Curry’s, Homebase and Argos.’
