Have you ever felt panic when asked what nail polish color to go for at the salon?

While the selection can be daunting, one astrologer has claimed that the way you use your claws is thanks to the stars – and wearing certain shades can ensure you have your best summer yet.

Celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman, from London, told beauty supplement brand So Body Co that Gemini should paint their nails a sunny yellow, while Cancer should prepare to swap their nails at their next nail appointment by opting for one on the Little Mermaid inspired paint.

Elsewhere, Aquarians and Sagittarians were encouraged to join the Barbie trend with fun pink extensions.

TWIN

SUNNY YELLOW

Inbaal says free-spirited, fun-loving Geminis perfectly mimic sunny yellow this summer.

“Air sign Gemini is a party animal,” she said. They are not afraid of attention and love to be the life and soul of any summer social gathering.

“Geminis are at home at the busiest summer festival or on a carnival ride, and non-stop activity is the name of the game.”

This summer, however, Gemini’s ruling planet Mercury moves between different signs, so Gemini will be as chaotic as possible.

And so something exciting – yet sweet – like yellow is the perfect hot offering.

CANCER

METAL BLUE

Cancers are encouraged to lean into the roots of their water sign and experiment with aquatic aesthetics.

“Cancers like to do things for others and cheer up those around them,” Inbaal said.

“They are great listeners and have very big emotions. This summer, Cancers are being blessed by Mercury, the planet of communication, so they will be more talkative and social than usual.’

A fun metallic blue is the ideal shade – “because it relates to their watery element, and blue is also the color of communication.”

Trendy Leos are always at the forefront of new styles – so it’s no wonder they’ll be rocking warm peach tones this summer.

“Leos love being the first to try a trend, and everything looks great because of their confidence and personal sense of power,” said the astrology expert.

This summer, Leos are being blessed by three planets – Mercury, Venus, and Mars all visit the sun sign, meaning Leos will be at the center of any conversation or situation.

“Peach is the absolute color of the season for those born under the sign of the lion.”

VIRGIN

RED

Virgos will be a tad more experimental than humans are used to this summer – so don’t be surprised if you see this sensible earth sign with bright red claws.

“Virgo likes to keep it practical,” Inbaal explained.

“They consider functionality over style, and want to know they are comfortable and safe more than they want to be pretty.

This summer, Virgo is spending a long time associated with Mars, the planet of passion, which means Virgo will be a little more forthright than usual.

“It’s the perfect time for classic red for those born under the sign of Virgo.”

LILAC

‘Air sign Libra is the most elegant sign of the zodiac,” the psychic celebrity revealed.

“They like a simple, stylish look and enjoy the feeling of being well rested, groomed and minty fresh.”

But summer is a chance for them to stray away from their textbook French mani and try a more fashionable flair.

“The super trend of lilac nails is just right for those born under the sign of Libra,” added Inbaal.

SCORPION

EMERALD GREEN

“Water sign Scorpio doesn’t mind a little innovation,” Inbaal said. Scorpios get excited at the prospect of trying something new, something that isn’t even a full-blown trend yet.

“They will wear it quietly and tell no one, until it is discovered by others and a new hero style is crowned.”

The expert said this summer that the Scorpio’s ruling planet Pluto is moving back to Capricorn – “so wealth will be the look to go for.”

In addition, the emerald green niche trend refers to the color of money.

MAGENTA

“Fire sign Sagittarius cannot be tamed,” the expert warned. “It’s a non-stop party, winter or summer.”

This fun fire sign likes to “feel free” and wants to “create its own rules for life, love, and style.”

“Trends don’t lead them, they lead the trends,” Inbaal continued. This summer, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, generous Jupiter, will be spending weeks in Taurus, so their style will be more classic than they’re used to.

“The color of summer for those born under the sign of Sagittarius is magenta.”

SILVER

Earth sign Capricorn is known for its sophistication, glamor and high-end taste.

“Lovers of quality and finesse, they enjoy earning and spending, and love being in luxurious environments with sophisticated company,” Inbaal said.

This summer, Pluto, the planet of reinvention, will be in Capricorn for most of the season, which means Capricorns will be feeling a little adventurous.

“Silver will be the nail shade for those born under the sign of the sea goat.”

AQUARIUS

BUBBLEGUM PINK

“Air sign Aquarius has a freshness and a whimsy that sets them apart from the rest of the signs,” Inbaal advised.

They are laid back and loyal, and like to follow their hearts. They accept everything and everyone and see beauty in all colours.’

The ruling planet – Uranus – is in style-conscious Taurus this summer, which puts them in a “more traditional and elegant mindset.”

“Bubblegum pink puts a quirky spin on a conventional shade,” she added. “And is the hue of the season for those born under the sign of the Water Bearer.”

Water sign Pisces “likes to jump on a trend.”

The sign of the fish is known for being fun and dreamy creatures – so a retro neon is perfect for them.

“They are social creatures that enjoy conformity and peace, and like being part of a group,” Inbaal said.

Romantic and warm, Pisces is hoping for a summer full of love. This summer, the karma planet Saturn and the illusion planet Neptune are both in Pisces all season, so Pisces will be even more dreamy than ever.

“Illusions and dreams abound, retro neon nails are the right colors for those born under the sign of the fish.”

JELLY RED

“Fire sign Aries is the first sign of the zodiac — the astrological year begins at the vernal equinox,” Inbaal said.

“It’s a sign known for being active and no-nonsense, so would suit a nail tone that’s direct, clear, and distinct, not to mention fiery.”

Aries’ ruling planet Mars is spending long weeks in no-nonsense Virgo this summer, so those born under the sign of Aries will be even more excited than usual.

Jelly Red is a bold, bold and shiny option for these energetic creatures.

“Earth sign Taurus likes a cozy atmosphere,” Inbaal said. ‘Stylish and low-key, they can be found in a library or a lounge chair in an exclusive coffee shop, so pair well with a nail polish that is elegant, safe and earthy.
