A look inside Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's Reignited Feud
They look like exes Britney Spears And Justin Timberlake won't make peace anytime soon.
A source reveals this exclusively in the latest issue of We weekly that Britney, 42, initially “tried to be the bigger person” by apologizing to Timberlake, 43, for her unflattering characterization of him in her memoir, The woman in me.
In January, Spears took to Instagram to “apologize for some things [she] wrote about” in her memoir, in which she wrote: “If I have offended any of the people I really care about, I am deeply sorry.”
But after Timberlake seemingly threw shade at the “Toxic” singer during an onstage performance, the insider noted that Spears found his actions “seriously disappointing,” adding, “Of course he didn't name her, but everyone know who that was directed at. ”
During a January performance in New York City, Timberlake seemingly mocked Spears' initial apology in his message to the audience. “I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f–king Nobody,” he said before singing his 2002 breakup ballad, “Cry Me a River,” which is believed to have inspired due to his divorce from Spears.
A second insider agrees that Timberlake was “100 percent” referring to Spears, adding that she was “pretty stung” by what he said.

Apparently after catching wind of Timberlake's appearance, Spears responded to her apology in a post via Instagram earlier this month, writing, “Someone told me someone was talking about me on the street!!!” Do you want to take it to court or will you go to your mother crying like last time? I'm not sorry !!!”

While Britney was “disgusted with his attitude,” the second source adds that Timberlake is done holding back.
“If Justin seems cocky, he doesn't care,” the source said. “His conscience is clear.”

In Spears' memoir, she claimed that Timberlake cheated on her “a few times” during their relationship and that she reportedly had an abortion . because he wasn't ready to be a parent yet. Despite renewed criticism of the “Can't Stop the Feeling” singer, a separate source is speaking exclusively Us that Timberlake doesn't let the negativity affect him.
