I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! Australian host Julia Morris reportedly worked with producers on the show before Chris Brown left the reality series for a stint on Channel Seven last year.

The comedian, 55, is said to have thrown tantrums on set when she didn’t get her way, leading to tensions between the two stars, a source told Daily Mail Australia.

The insider claims there were times when Chris, 45, was asked to host parts of the show on his own, while Julia refused to come out of the trailer.

“Julia often threw tantrums on set when she didn’t get her way,” the source said.

‘One day in particular she refused to return to the set unless she figured out a rather obscure ‘feather joke’.

‘The departure of Dr. Chris will be asked to continue solo if the debate is not resolved.”

They went on to say that Julia’s tantrums may not be “so easy to hide” with Chris’ replacement host Robert Irwin.

“If Julia acts like a child again and leaves a 20-year-old to pick up the pieces, it probably won’t be so easy to hide,” the insider said.

Chris was reportedly very tolerant of Julia and her idiosyncrasies, and was considered the key ingredient in creating their dynamic work on the Channel Ten show.

However, Julia was said to be ‘disappointed’ when Chris decided to leave their award-winning series to host new rival Seven show Dream House.

‘[Chris] was quite disappointed to hear that Julia had publicly addressed his departure,” the source added.

‘That wasn’t how he saw their relationship and it certainly affected their friendship going forward.

“It’s even exposed some old wounds from their time together over the past nine years.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Julia, Chris and Channel Ten for comment.

It comes after reports suggested Chris is ‘feeling the pressure’ with his upcoming roles at Seven.

His first duties include hosting Dancing With The Stars, new renovation show Dream Home and new animal adventure series Once In A Lifetime.

“I think he’s having a hard time,” a source told New Idea magazine.

“He turned his whole life upside down when he moved to Seven, and he could be feeling the pressure.”

The insider added that the network is “ruthless” when it comes to ratings and relies on Chris when the “cameras start rolling.”

“He can’t afford to fix things,” they added.

Chris signed a two-year contract with Seven worth more than $1 million a year, following his contractual commitments on I’m A Celebrity with his former network.
