Jadé Tuncdoruk announced she is expecting her first child with husband Lachie Brycki in a sweet video shared to Instagram on Sunday.

But while the video was intended to be a heartwarming share, it quickly became the subject of scrutiny as followers criticized Jadé’s “acting skills” during the reveal.

The announcement drew a mix of congratulations and less favorable reactions, with some accusing 28-year-old Jadé of orchestrating the unveiling due to social media influence.

Critics pointed out what they described as ‘over-the-top’ expressions and a lack of authenticity in the video’s portrayal, with one user joking: ‘On Tonight’s Episode of Home and Away’, comparing the reveal to the Channel Seven soap.

Former Bachelor star Rachael Arahill joined the fray, humorously saying “Me on Neighbors,” while another observer dryly noted, “This must be staged.”
