Former Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have announced that they are currently separated and “parting ways for a while” after four years of marriage.
Brittany, 35, announced the news this week via their joint podcast When reality hitswhich confirms, “Jax and I are taking some time apart and I have made the decision to move to another house to take up some space for the sake of my mental health.”
However, Brittany also later hinted that the “split” could be temporary when she asked fans to “pray for us,” adding that she believes “everything will be okay.”
Signs of their relationship problems and marital problems will most likely reveal themselves during their new reality show The Valley, which premieres on March 19.
The beloved Bravo stars tied the knot in a fairytale-themed wedding ceremony in June 2019 in Kentucky after a year-long engagement.
But it looks like the fairytale is over, at least for now.
“A lot of you have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” Brittany said in the podcast episode released Thursday.

The star – who shares two-year-old son, Cruz, with Jax, 44 – added: “I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you. ‘
Brittany then specifically referenced some issues the couple was having.
‘In my last podcast I alluded to the fact that many marriages are going through difficult times. Yes, marriages in general are very difficult and I have had a particularly difficult year this past year.
She went on to suggest that they are now temporarily separated, saying, “Jax and I are taking some time apart and I have made the decision to move to another house to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
She admitted that the split is “still very difficult to talk about” and added that she is “just taking it day by day.”
“I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz,” Brittany added.

Brittany and Jax started dating in 2015 after meeting in Las Vegas, and their courtship was featured on their Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules.
In 2017, the couple split for a while after it was publicly revealed that Jax was sleeping with another woman.
Nevertheless, the couple reunited before getting married in front of 240 guests just two years later.
In March 2023, the couple hinted at trouble in their relationship when she said they were “driving through it.”
Taylor noted at the time that their “good days” and “bad days” made their relationship stronger.
‘I don’t believe in divorce. My parents are not divorced,” he said People. ‘I don’t believe in that. Marriage is work. I’m not saying every day is great.’
He added that he “honestly” couldn’t imagine his “life with anyone else” and assured his fans that they were still “having a lot of fun together.”
