Jax Taylor talks about where he stands now with Tom Sandoval

Jax Taylor tells what to expect from his upcoming conversation with Tom Sandoval on Vanderpump Rules.

“I want to make it very clear. I didn’t go after Tom Sandoval for cheating. That had nothing to do with it,” Taylor, 44, said exclusively We weekly at the Thursday, March 14 premiere party at Jax’s Studio City for Bravo’s The valley. “Let’s be honest. Everyone on the show cheated. No one has a leg to stand on.”

Sandoval’s affair with Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss was revealed in March 2023 when news broke of his divorce Ariana Madix, his girlfriend of almost ten years. Taylor has since spoken about his former VPR Costar’s infidelity on multiple occasions.

“My anger problem was how Sandoval handled it afterward,” Taylor continued. ‘He didn’t stay here. He didn’t take the bullets. He forwarded them to Tom Schwartzwho had to sit there, taking a beating.”

After the success of Sandoval and Schwartz’s restaurant TomTom, the couple decided to open a bar called Schwartz & Sandy’s. After the public learned of Sandoval’s affair, Schwartz & Sandy’s was criticized with negative Yelp reviews, and Schwartz, 41, claimed in April 2023 that it had been vandalized. (In January, Schwartz claimed that Sandoval, 40, is now “largely a silent partner” but is still financially involved.)

“Because Tom Sandoval wasn’t there, his restaurant took a hit,” Taylor said of the situation. “He was going through a lot of stuff with his family and I was just like, ‘Dude, why did you leave?’ You should never have left LA. You should have stayed here and said, you know what, I screwed up. I have made a mistake. And I will own it and I will be here for my business partner, my best friend. ”

He continued, “I had a problem with that. The fact that he left his best friend and business partner. I want to make that very clear. I don’t care who he cheats on. I do not mind.”

As for where his friendship with Sandoval is now, Taylor shared, “He comes to my bar on Monday nights to sing karaoke.”

Taylor added that “everyone has made mistakes, especially on Vanderpump Rules”, and said: “He cheated on Ariana. It’s been a year now. I feel like it’s time to move on. She is happy. It is clear that she is doing very well. She has a new boyfriend.”

Madix, 38, has since moved on to become a fitness coach Daniel Wai.

“It’s time to stop talking about Scandoval,” Taylor continued. ‘There are other things to talk about, for example The valley.”

The valley premieres on Bravo Tuesday, March 19, following a new episode of Vanderpump Rules and will stream on Peacock the next day. Starting Tuesday, March 26, the series will move to its regular 9:00 PM ET timeslot.
