Johannes Olivier joked that the royals have a Weekend with Bernie of Princess Kate Middleton after her Mother’s Day photoshop failed.

Oliver referenced Kate’s Mother’s Day photo, taken by her husband, Prince Williamand posted via Kensington Palace’s social media accounts on Sunday, March 10. Fans quickly noticed a series of editing errors in the portrait, which featured the princess and the couple’s children – Prince George10, Princess Charlotte8, and Prince Louis5 – and began to wonder if the photo had been manipulated.

Kate explained the reasoning behind the editing issues in a statement via X the next day, attributing it to her being an “amateur photographer” experimenting “with editing.”

Exclusively spoken to We weekly earlier this month, royal expert Nick Bullen explained why he believes the royal family made a “mistake” with the way they handled Kate’s “conspiracy theories” — especially when combined with Charles’ openness about his own diagnosis.

“Because the King has been so open about his enlarged prostate surgery, it has put some pressure on Kensington Palace and William and Kate to reveal what is going on there,” explains Bullen, editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV. “Because they didn’t do that, a void has been created, [and] that kind of vacuum is filled with speculation.”

“The fact that we have the news of the King’s enlarged prostate is announced on the same day that Kate goes to hospital, and one [announcement] is very open and the other is less open. I think it was handled a bit poorly from the start,” he told us, “because it felt like the households weren’t talking to each other.”
