Kate Middleton wears nearly identical outfits because she’s ‘confident’ in ‘textured’ silhouettes
The Princess of Wales has long been known to recycle her stylish ensembles.
But the royal, 41, also seems to love repeating certain cuts and styles when it comes to her lookbook.
It seems that once Kate Middleton knows what she likes, she sticks to it.
The mother-of-three was spotted this week wearing a polka dot print dress by Alessandra Rich in the Order of the Garter – which is nearly identical to her 2022 Ascot ensemble from the same designer.
Elsewhere this month, Kate chose the Self-Portrait brand as she (appropriately) reopened the National Portrait Gallery on Tuesday.

The royal family looked glamorous as always in the all-in-one blazer and skirt dress, adorned with ivory bouclé fabric and embellished details on the pockets.
And she’s clearly a fan of the company, as she wore a very similar £400 crisp white tailored dress from the retailer at a 2021 event.
Repli-Kate also recently hit back when it came to one of her favorite wardrobe staples: blazers.
The princess is a fan of relaxed silhouettes in fashion book shades – like black, white and red.
When she attended a college in Derby in February, she wore a £69.99 cream double-breasted number from Zara.
And last summer she kept her look chic with a very similar £50 blazer from the high-street retailer.
Speaking to FEMAIL, style expert Lisa Talbot says the princess’s “style personality” has evolved into a signature aesthetic, often highlighting her athletic figure.
“Her look, while evolved over the years, has largely stayed the same and resembles the silhouettes she’s chosen,” said Lisa.

‘[Kate] clearly prefers to have stayed more structured and complement her body shape.”
She added: ‘We all have a style personality that we naturally gravitate towards, it shows in our styles, shapes, colors and brands we choose.
“It’s the ones that give us confidence and that’s why we repeat them regularly.”
She says the Princess of Wales put hers together to exude class and elegance.
“Kate is really a classic style personality where we see her in more traditional heritage styles and prints,” explains Lisa.
This is her signature style that she has created. We also see that her style is also her personal brand.’

The royal clearly has a penchant for certain cuts and shades.
Kate is believed to enjoy a splash of color with strong scarlet – especially in tight, form-fitting jackets.
In 2016, Kate wore a £49.99 blazer from Zara to the Queen’s birthday celebration, exuding glamor and confidence in what would become one of her signature colours.
But the silhouettes became sharper and less relaxed.
In 2019, on a visit to Anglesey, the royal family looked striking in a £762 red wool blazer by Lorenzo Serafini.
And three years later, she showed off her stylish flair with another £59.99 red Zara blazer and white ruffled blouse on a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark.
Another signature shade in her wardrobe is – perhaps unsurprisingly – a bright royal blue.
And the strong, bold hue usually requires a very sophisticated blazer-style cut.
An example of this is her bespoke Catherine Walker coat dress, which Kate wore to the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey last year.
It rings a similar bell to her Eponine dress — which she allegedly debuted during an engagement in 2017.
The princess also clearly prefers polka dot prints – she last showed off the design on Monday at the Order of the Garter.
But Kate’s love affair with the motif dates back years: she chose a breezy, light-blue printed dress to introduce Prince George to the world in July 2013 in a look imitated by new mothers across the country.
She has also worn polka dots at Wimbledon on a number of occasions.
In 2017, Kate kept it classic in a white and black Dolce & Gabbana creation with a square neckline, and in 2021 she opted for a more casual take on polka dots, pairing an Alessandra Rich skirt with a simple white T-shirt.
