Klopp ‘bodies’ Mike Dean in interview and says Doku could have killed Mac Allister

JURGEN KLOPP targeted Mike Dean after Liverpool’s controversial penalty incident against Manchester City.

The match was tied at 1–1 and in the eighth minute of extra time, Jeremy Doku collided with Alexis Mac Allister.

Replays showed the City striker kicked Mac Allister in the chest as they both went for the ball in the penalty area.

But referee Michael Oliver allowed play to continue and the VAR team refused to intervene as the match ended completely.

Klopp was left furious after the final whistle and confronted Oliver with an investigation into the controversial decision.

The Liverpool boss was investigated over the decision and his confrontation with Oliver after the match.

He said, “His foot is there and yes, he hit the ball, but if the ball isn’t there, he kills it.”

And Klopp managed to attack retired former Sky Sports pundit Dean in his response.

He said: “Have you hired Mike Dean, does he work for Sky? Congratulations, that’s a great appointment by the way!

“He will find something, and so will everyone else. This is a punishment for all football people on this planet, it is a punishment.”

Despite Klopp’s rant, fans were more interested in his criticism of Dean, as one said: “Jurgen is just a bloody powerful Mike Dean.”

Another said: “Mike Dean works for Sky? “Good appointment by the way.”
