CHOOSING the perfect wedding dress is not easy for any bride, as there are so many different styles, materials and colors to choose from.
That said, many brides still opt for something fairly traditional for their big day.
But when one woman opted for something more modern, she was criticized online by people who found the dress ‘inappropriate’ after it was shared on Facebook.
“That’s not a wedding dress, that’s the mosquito net/canopy I had above my bed in the 1990s,” the post’s caption reads.
The dress itself looks like it is made of sheer mesh or similar material with small flowers decorated on it.
The bride wears a nude bra and underwear under the dress.
While many people loved the modern and bohemian vibe of the dress, others weren’t sure if it was the best wedding look.
“Welp. It’s a nice mosquito net,” someone commented.
“Reminds me of those aprons people wear at barbecues with a naked body printed on the front for some reason,” wrote a second.
And a third said the dress looked more like ‘beachwear over a swimsuit’ than a wedding dress.
Meanwhile, someone else thought the floral appliqués looked like “popcorn stuck on her dress.”
Not everyone was so harsh, however: “If you got it, show it,” one person replied to the scathing post.
“Man…I can’t hate the idea, she’s got the body for it. But the execution is crap. Do a nude small slip up, and at least buy a mesh thing with high quality 3D flowers embroidered on it instead of whatever mess is going on at the bottom.
“It’s fine for a veil, but throw it up for the main act.
‘Actually. The more I think about it, the more certain I am that her dress was actually a veil that someone had sewn into a dress.”
