Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky ‘haven’t hired lawyers yet’
Kyle Richards And Mauricio Umanski haven’t made any major decisions during their ongoing separation.
“Kyle and Mauricio have not yet hired lawyers, and neither has filed yet,” a source exclusively told We weekly. “While they are separated, they want to keep their lives as normal as possible for the children.”
The estranged couple, who tied the knot in 1996, share daughters Alexia27, Sophia23, and Portia15. Umansky, 53, is also the stepfather of Richards’ daughter Farrah, 35, who shares the Bravolebrity with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.
“When and if they decide to file, neither will be bitter or come after the other,” the insider adds, noting that there is “a lot of tension” between the former couple, but “they wish no harm to the other” in the future. “Neither of us wants a long and vindictive divorce.”
Us confirmed in July that Richards, 54, and Umansky had split after 27 years of marriage. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars have since clarified that they have not yet taken any steps to make their split official.
“I made a mistake on the red carpet today,” Richards said during the Monday, November 6, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, which was filmed last weekend at BravoCon. “Twice I had to correct someone when he said ‘divorce’. I said ‘divorced.’ And then I went to say it, and then it went everywhere. So that was my mistake.”
Richards said WWHL viewers that things between her and Umansky are “still amicable” and called their marriage “a success” — even amid recent drama (and questions) surrounding his relationship status.

However, they were quick to shut down any relationship speculation.
“Just to clarify, we went to a restaurant to get sushi right after rehearsal,” Umansky said in an Instagram Story video on October 26. “It’s a very intense week, a very emotional week. We were talking about the week at dinner, and when we came out to dinner, we were looking back, and I reached out to take Emma’s hand. She took my hand and we walked to the cars, just recapping.’
He added: “To be clear, we are not dating.”

Richards, in turn, admitted that the handheld photos “hurt my feelings” when they appeared on WWHL on October 25.
However, the Bravo star did share We weekly only that past fights with sistersKathy Hilton And Kim Richards prepared her for the drama with Umansky.
“It is quite a challenge for all of us to be in the spotlight at this time. So I mean, I guess [those fights with my sisters] prepared me a lot for going through what I went through, but it’s still crazy,” she shared Us on Saturday, November 4. “There are so many people who don’t know that we are affecting our relationship and people who say things like, ‘Don’t do this, you will regret it.’ I said, ‘Do you think I wanted this? Do you think this was my fairy tale?’ Think about what you say to me.”
