Lily James is spotted WITHOUT a ring on her finger after sparking engagement rumors with soon-to-be boyfriend Michael Shuman as she joins Olivia Colman at the Choose Love event in London

Lily James was spotted without a ring on her finger on Wednesday after sparking engagement rumors with her soon-to-be boyfriend Michael Schuman.

The Mamma Mia actress, 34, joined fellow A-listers Olivia Colman and Jamie Dornan at the Choose Love event on London’s Carnaby Street as they launched a pop-up shop for Help Refugees.

Early this month, The Daily Mail revealed that it appeared Lily had rekindled her romance with her rock star boyfriend Michael Shuman.

She even fielded questions about whether they were engaged by wearing a gold band on her wedding finger.

But this Wednesday, the ring was conspicuously absent, even though the actress wore jewelry on her other fingers.

The star looked stunning in a black silky skirt and matching T-shirt to advertise the event.

Later, she donned a long plaid coat to dress warmly over a gray high-neck sweater.

She joined Dawn O’Porter, Dermot O’Leary and Pearl Mackie in holding up huge signs reading Choose Love.

Lily and Michael split in February 2023 after it was rumored that they had grown apart. But in July they would be back together just five months after their divorce.

The two were seen in the same car leaving the Harold Pinter Theater in London, where Lily is currently starring in the play Lyonesse.

She was seen wearing a telling gold band on her left hand, sparking speculation that they were engaged.

Meanwhile, sources close to the actress confirmed that they are now a couple again.

The next day they were seen again in Soho, central London, where he appeared to pull her suitcase.

Once again, she wore the gold band on her left hand, but despite wearing it for two days in a row, sources close to Lily insisted the ring was one she wore during the play.

A source said: ‘Lily couldn’t stop smiling as she left the theater and as she left she got into a car which Michael got into shortly afterwards.

‘Lily wore a ring on her engagement finger, which obviously leads to speculation that she and Michael are engaged or married.

“But it seems like it might be a bit premature, but nevertheless they are in love with each other and very happy.”

Lily stars as a young film executive named Kate, who is summoned by Elaine, a reclusive and talented actress who disappears under mysterious circumstances.

Lily and Michael were spotted together at Glastonbury earlier this year – despite their alleged split in February.

The couple were first linked in 2021 after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside a boutique hotel.

The American star is said to be staying at the hotel where Lily was in quarantine with the cast and crew for the film What’s Love Got To Do With It?.

An eyewitness told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘Lily’s driver turned up just after 9am and she and Michael emerged from the hotel together a few minutes later. They were laughing and joking and looked very happy together.”

They then made their red carpet debut at the 2022 Oscars, where they looked in love.

The musician reportedly moved into the Mamma Mia star’s £3million north London home and a month later the loved-up couple were pictured holding hands as they met Michael’s parents, former Disney production manager Ira Shuman and wife Janet, in Los Angeles.

But in February this year it was reported that they had gone their separate ways for good.

The actress’ relationship with Michael initially came as a shock to fans of the couple, as Lily is known for her family-friendly roles in Downton Abbey, Cinderella and Mamma Mia.

Meanwhile, Michael is a member of Queens Of The Stone Age, the band infamous for on-stage nudity and claims of drug and alcohol abuse.

In August 2021, Lily sparked speculation that Michael had proposed as she headed to Melrose Avenue, California, with a gold ring on her engagement finger.

However, a rep for Lily said of speculation about a proposal from Michael: “This is 100% not true.”

The Mamma Mia star has kept her personal life private since she became the subject of global criticism when footage emerged of her and actor Dominic West enjoying an outdoor lunch with their mutual agent, Angharad Wood, in October 2020.

They enjoyed a two-day holiday in Italy, where they rode around Rome on a scooter, and Dominic at one point appeared to lean over and kiss Lily’s neck.

TV and film star Lily was previously in a relationship with The Crown star Matt Smith, 40, for five years, with the relationship over for several weeks before she was pictured with Dominic.

In July 2020, the actress was pictured returning to Chris Evans’ London hotel after partying until the early hours at private members-only venue Mark’s Club in Mayfair.

Lily has raised eyebrows in the past by forging close friendships with her co-stars in recent productions – Arnie Hammer in Rebecca and Dominic in BBC drama The Pursuit Of Love.
