Lindsay Lohan is about to find herself at the center of major marital chaos.

Netflix dropped a series of sneak peeks at their upcoming 2024 film on Thursday, February 1, including a first look at Lohan's upcoming film Irish wish. The romantic comedy marks Lohan's second collaboration with the streaming service following its 2022 release Fall before Christmas.

The photo shows Lohan, 37, stretched out on the floor amid the hustle and bustle of a busy wedding. Considering the mess of destroyed flower arrangements around her and the shocked look on her face as she seemingly calls for help, things may point to Lohan being the cause of the drama during the ill-fated wedding.

Irish wishwhich hits Netflix on March 15, is Lohan's second project with director Janeen Damian after the pair worked together Fall before Christmas. The film follows Lohan's character, Maddie, as she puts her feelings aside after “the love of her life” proposes to her best friend, according to the logline. While traveling to Ireland to be a bridesmaid at the wedding, Maddie makes “a spontaneous wish for true love,” only to wake up the next day as a bride-to-be. However, things start to go astray when she realizes that her true soulmate might be someone else. Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, Jacinta Mulcahy And Jane Seymour round out the cast.

Lohan and Meadows first worked together in 2004 Mean girls, where the actress stars as Cady, a homeschooled girl who is welcomed to the top of the social food chain by a group of popular girls called the Plastics. Meadows appeared in the original film as high school principal Mr. Duvall, and reprized the role in the 2023 musical film of the same name.

While Lohan didn't step into Cady's shoes for the latest iteration, she did make a surprise cameo in the third act as a moderator during the Mathletes competition, in which the new Cady is played by Angourie Rice.

Tina Feywho wrote both versions of mean girls, revealed that she specifically hoped Lohan would appear, as she was the center of the story in the 2004 film.

“Paramount said, 'Can you get one of the original ladies? And I thought, 'I can't fit five people in there,'” Fey, 53, said Entertainment weekly last month. “I felt like if I could just get one person as a surprise, the original movie was really Lindsay's movie. As great as they all are, she is the heart of the film.”

Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to the spotlight. After modeling as a child, Lohan starred as twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in 1998's The Parent Trap alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. After the film's success, she scored a three-picture contract with Disney. “I was 10 when I did Parent Trap,” Lohan recalls […]

Fey explained that she was also tasked with figuring out how Lohan could fit seamlessly into the story. “I thought, 'What can she do?'” she recalls. 'I didn't think so [she should] play a teacher. I tried to think of something you wouldn't expect.”

Ultimately, Fey felt that the math's performance honored Lohan's portrayals of Cady while also acting as a gift to the viewers. “Just to have her do that late in the movie, it also feels like it comes, I hope, at a time when fans weren't expecting a little surprise anymore,” she said. “It also lets her be smart, which Cady is.”
