A WOMAN has revealed she gave her tired toilet a total makeover while on a budget.

DIY fan Vicky Keep, a mum from Kent, has transformed her downstairs toilet from drab to fab, without spending a lot of money.

The savvy mum explained she used bargain purchases from Amazon, Argos and B&Q to transform the space, while keeping costs low.

Not only this, but Vicky also bought items from Facebook Marketplace and eBay, and is happy with her toilets new look.

Vicky showed a before and after look of her toilet overhaul and posted on social media DIY on a budget officera private Facebook group with 2.2 million members.

Here, Vicky shared photos of her bathroom and wrote: “So I’ve finished updating our downstairs toilet, all done on a budget.”

Before Vicky’s DIY job, the bathroom was very plain and worn.

The white walls needed something TLC and Vicky wanted to bring the space to life – which she did with paint, new floor tiles, shelves and accessories.

Showing off her new bathroom, which has now been painted navy blue, with a funky floor, Vicky confirmed: “I bought the under-sink storage cupboard from Argos, took the door to B&Q and had the paint for the walls, ceiling, skirting boards and the radiator. Valspar color matched.

“Floor tiles are Wallpops from Amazon.

“[I] Replacing Screwfix taps and drains [and got my] mirror of Facebook Marketplace.

“Hubby made the shelves and we secured them with invisible fasteners.

I refurbished my entire house for under £100 with Aldi bargains and nothing cost more than £17

“Replica Victorian toilet roll holder from eBay.”

Vicky later said: “I am happy with the result.”

Vicky’s toilet is now not only super stylish, but also looks extremely professional.

Vicky’s post has clearly made an impression on many as it has racked up 387 likes and 95 comments.

Social media users were left stunned by the venue’s overhaul and many were keen to express this in the comments.
