Gillian, 51, kicked him out of her Scottish home after an argument.

A source said: “He was throwing money about left, right and center. They could have come out bald.”

His outbursts left Gillian worried that she would be left with nothing left of her share of the EuroMillions jackpot she won with her first husband Adrian in 2012.

An insider told The Sun: “Brian saw Gillian as a cash machine, nothing more.

“She kept throwing money at him trying to make the money wedding work.

‘She wouldn’t dream of giving £20,000 if he asked.

“But no amount was ever enough and he kept wanting more.

‘She probably escaped in the nick of time.

“If they had continued as they were, they might have gone bald.

“He acts like he’s a big deal.”

Unemployed Brian received a monthly allowance from his new wife after they married five years ago.

But they recently split and cracks in the marriage have been visible for some time, sources say.

One claimed Brian would move out after arguments but return to new gifts from Gillian.

A friend said: ‘From what I saw, it was never a happy marriage.

“Brian would move and then come back and Gillian would buy him another car.

‘She was in love.

“She just wanted the marriage to work no matter what.

‘I’ve lost count of the number of cars she bought for him.

“She must have wasted a small fortune on that alone.”

Gillian and first husband Adrian Bayford won their mega fortune in August 2012 while living in Haverhill, Suffolk.

The couple, who have two children, soon moved to an estate in Cambridgeshire but divorced 15 months later.

Gillian, originally from Carnoustie, Angus, moved back to Scotland where she now rents out properties.

It is understood she met Brian – jailed for swindling £13,500 from a Tesco store – when he was living in a run-down flat in Dundee.

He quickly got used to having piles of money.

Gillian treated him and his family to holidays, cars, watches and clothes.

He later moved to her mansion.

‘Brian saw Gillian as an ATM, nothing more

A source said: “Brian acted like he was the lottery winner.

“The money went straight to his head and he was throwing money left, right and centre.

“He flew his friends to watch a football match and paid for everything.

“Plus he would give them all pocket money.

“It was important to him that everyone knew he was in a good position the bill.

‘But he wasn’t. It all came from Gillian.”

The insiders said his monthly allowance was never enough as he tried to finance the extravagant lifestyle he had become accustomed to.

One said: ‘Sometimes the day after he got paid he would go to Gillian and say he was skinny and needed more money.

“He told her she couldn’t take it with her.

“I don’t know if she ever said ‘no’ to him.”

“She was probably a little naive about what was really going on.”

BABY GIRL

The couple became parents to a baby girl during the 2020 Covid lockdown.

It is claimed that Gillian was desperate to make Brian happy and stay together as a family.

She agreed to move from Broughty Ferry outside Dundee to Auchterarder, Perthshire, to make a fresh start, but that didn’t work out.

One source said: ‘It’s probably hard for outsiders to understand what happened, but Gillian was head over heels in love.

“She believed everything Brian told her.

“All she wanted was for him to be happy and she never questioned him.

‘If he wanted money, he got it.

“Handing over £50,000 was no problem for her.

“All she wanted was for her family to stay together, from what I saw.”

SAMPLE PRICE

Gillian and Adrian’s £148million windfall in 2012 was one of the biggest EuroMillions jackpots at the time, with the couple celebrating by ordering Domino’s pizza.

Their monster prize came the same month Brian was jailed for his fraud.

He defrauded Tesco of thousands by passing on fake customer refunds at a store in Dundee.

He and a friend were each jailed for six months.

Brian immediately got to work renovating properties.

In 2012, Gillian was a hospital worker, while Adrian plied his trade as a postman, with a second job running a music shop.

The couple spent part of their win on a sprawling £6 million mansion.

But just fifteen months later, in November 2013, they decided to file for divorce.

After the split, the pair were forced to split the profits equally, despite Adrian purchasing the ticket that yielded gold.

Gillian later told The Sun that the whirlwind of winning had cost them their marriage.

Adrian was subsequently dumped four times, which bruised his ego and took a hit to his bank balance.

One of his lovers, stable girl Samantha Burbidge, turned down his marriage proposal and returned to her penniless ex-boyfriend – with almost £500,000 in gifts given to her by Adrian.

There was also Marta Jarosz, a former sausage factory worker, who received a top prize of £34,000 Volvo V40 hatchback before he broke up with me.

Then came Lisa Kemp, a waitress who broke Adrian’s heart when she dumped him while they were on vacation.

In 2021, Adrian sold his £6 million home and 189-acre estate in Cambridgeshire at a loss.

Meanwhile, Gillian’s best friend Julie Cameron claimed she was forced to leave prison her salon company they started in the middle of an argument dogs.

Sources said the friendship hit the rocks when Gillian found out Julie had left her pets with a tenant in one of the magnate’s rented blocks.

SON’S FIGHT

In 2021, the Bayfords’ son Cameron, 13, was left fighting for life after a horrific quad bike accident.

He was in the vehicle when he was hit by a car driven by his sister Amy, 15, in the grounds of their father’s country home.

Cameron was put into a medically induced coma but made a full recovery.

Gillian and Brian are getting married at 6 p.m luxury hotel in St Andrews in 2018.

They had been friends for a few years and started a romance after running into each other on several nights out

Referring to his conviction shortly after they married, Gillian said: “My head is glued together.

“I don’t have a huge zipper on my back.

“I knew it from the very beginning and it doesn’t bother me.

“Everyone has a past, but you can’t live in the past.

‘You have to move on.

‘It was six years ago and he was punished for being stupid.

“He can’t let him suffer for the rest of his life.”

Gillian on Brian

However, she made sure Brian signed a prenup so he won’t be entitled to much of what she has left if they divorce.

Brian now runs a pub in Auchterarder and it is thought he has spent everything he got from Gillian.

The source said: “It’s a very sad and tragic story.

“He had it all, but he threw it away.”

Gillian declined to comment last night.

Brian insisted he ended the relationship but made no further comment.
