A Florida man who has been eating raw chicken for 25 days claims he has not gotten sick despite the serious health risks.

John, who has documented his journey on the Raw Chicken Experiment Instagram account, claims he will continue to eat raw chicken every day 'until my stomach hurts'.

He appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday to talk about his bizarre experiment.

“I think if I get a stomach ache I'll probably get extremely scared and stop the experiment because it could get a bit intense,” John told presenters Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.

“Why aren't you dead?” asked a surprised Kyle.

“I think I've done a lot of terrible things to my body throughout my life,” John replied.

Jackie, who said she was “outraged” by the videos of John eating raw chicken breast, asked what it was like to eat.

'It reminds me a bit of a scallop. But when we get into the thighs and wings and stuff like that, the skin is a little hard to get through,” the Floridian said.

Kyle explained that John also likes to blend the raw meat, throwing raw eggs, lettuce and spices into a food processor before drinking the concoction, which Jackie said would make her sick from that alone even without the risk on salmonella.

Salmonella is a bacteria often associated with raw chicken, but can also be contracted from beef, milk, seafood and eggs.

Kyle and Jackie's producer Bruno then came up with a hypothesis as to why John hadn't gotten sick from his shocking dietary choices.

“I used to work in Japan, and you know, eating sashimi-style chicken is quite common there… they breed salmonella-resistant chickens, so I was wondering if it could be a case of you having salmonella- resistant chickens or do you just get them from somewhere?' he asked.

“I eat chicken from a local farm,” John replied, suggesting that unsanitary factory farming may contain more life-threatening bacteria than free range.

Jackie, who said she was

The hosts then asked if eating raw chicken sashimi-style with soy sauce and wasabi was comparable to the fish version.

'I think fish tastes better, it has more flavor. There's not much going on with chicken, but if you had soy sauce and wasabi it would be pretty decent,” John said.

As the segment concluded, the hosts asked how long John will conduct this bizarre experiment.

“I'm thinking 100 days or until I'm hospitalized,” he said.
