MANCHESTER UNITED fans are convinced Erik ten Hag is “broken” after his “sensitive” post-match interview.
His Red Devils survived a scare to eventually beat Newport County 4-2 in the FA Cup in South Wales.
Before the match, the Dutchman took part in an awkward interview about Marcus Rashford's absence, saying: “It's an internal matter.”
United had released a statement confirming the forward would be absent due to illness, having missed training on Friday after a night out at a Belfast nightclub.
And Ten Hag was equally testy after the match at Rodney Parade as his team recovered from throwing away a two-goal lead to eventually secure a fifth-round exit to either Nottingham Forest or Bristol City.
Speaking to the BBC afterwards, Ten Hag gave no credit to their League Two opponents and instead complained about Newport's foul – claiming they had “nothing” except the goals.
When reporting returned to the Beeb studio, pundit Micah Richards became hysterical as he declared: “A bit sensitive!”
And it wasn't long before supporters took to social media to troll Ten Hag for his attitude.
One wrote: “Someone is checking Ten Hag. I think Newport broke him.”
Another said: “That interview with Erik ten Hag was weird. He looked so sensitive.”

“Based on this post-match interview, I'm not sure Erik ten Hag is a big fan of the magic of the cup,” said a fellow viewer.
A fourth blasted: “What a merciless interview from Ten Hag Seems to have been forgotten County are a League 2 team who made themselves and their supporters proud.”
The bad feeling continued when another supporter wrote: “Ten Hag's post-match interview was an absolutely perfect representation of him.
“Beyond a side from the bottom half of League 2 and completely unable to give them any credit – whining about fouls.”
While another said: “Erik ten Hag's post-match interview is hilarious, he's such an awkward b*****d.”
