The deceived pope tried to hold on to his yarmulke, a so-called Zucchetto, before it was blown back out of reach.

But hats off to you for trying.

The Pope – who turned 87 in December 2023 – has promised not to resign a few months later spend nine days in hospital for hernia surgery.

He said in an interview that as long as his health remains stable, he has no intention of giving up his title as head of the Catholic Church.

And he is expected to be the first pope in more than a century to be buried outside the Vatican.

Instead, he asked to be buried in the Basilica of St. Mary Major, a church inside Rome in which he prays before and after every trip abroad.

Concerns about his health have increased in recent years as he suffered from a numerous health problems.

When he was younger, part of his lung was removed due to a respiratory infection, which apparently causes him to whisper often.

He recently had to cancel a series of appearances, including at the Cop28 climate summit Dubai due to bronchitis.

Due to his previous lung surgery, he said at the time: “Thank God that wasn’t the case pneumonia“.
