Taking to social media, the mother of two, who has amassed a whopping 4.8 million followers on Instagram and is friends with Stacey Solomon, revealed her 'truth'.

Next to an clamp about Sophie Hinchliffe cleaning her house, she explained: 'People assume I'm obsessed with cleaning, but the truth is I'm not. I clean because it's my therapy.

“It makes me feel in control, I feel like I've accomplished something every day, it frees my mind from overthinking and worrying.”

But while Sophie explained that she isn't as 'obsessed' with cleaning as people expect, she did admit that it has changed her life.

The cleaning professional concluded: “In fact, cleaning changed my life, 4.8 million followers later, forever grateful to all of you. Thank you.”

In the short video, we saw Sophie doing a number of cleaning jobs around her home – from clearing out the fridge, scrubbing the floors and vacuuming her car.

Sophie wrote: 'When I clean, my mind immediately feels free.

“If I clean, I have achieved something.”

She later shared: “Thank you and welcome to my page.

“With love from my house to yours.”

The Instagram reel, which was posted just an hour ago, has already attracted hundreds of comments.

Fans rushed to support the star and thanked her for her openness and honesty.

One person said: “I love this. You inspire us all, thank you for being you.

Another said: “Watching you clean has changed my life too. Thank you for everything Sofie.”
