NCIS stars appear in the 1000th crossover event

The NCIS universe will celebrate its thousandth episode next month, and a few franchise favorites will be on hand for the monumental crossover event.

NCIS: Los Angeles alum Daniela Ruawho played Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeks, will appear in the upcoming Monday, April 15 episode, We weekly can confirm.

NCIS: Hawaii pipe Vanessa Lachey, who has played Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant since 2021, will also be part of the crossover. However, neither actress will appear ‘in person’ TVLinewho first reported the news.

Ruah, 40, played along NCIS: LA for 14 seasons until the series’ end in 2023. She has since served as director for a March episode of NCIS. Ruah is also the director of the NCIS: Hawaii‘s April 15 episode titled “The Next Thousand,” which marks the 1,001st installment of the franchise.

The performance reunited Ruah with her former LA Co-star LL Cool Jwho join the Hawaii cast as a recurring character in season 2, which aired last year. The actor reprized his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna in two 2023 episodes and four episodes so far in Season 3, which premiered in February.

When it comes to the thousandth franchise installment, says former NCIS director Leon VanceRocky Caroll) son Jared will be another new face to tune in and see. Jared was previously played by Khamani Griffin in season 6 and Akinsola Aribo in seasons 9 through 11.

Spence Moore II will portray the young man this time.

“There will be a personal storyline, and it will revolve around director Vance,” co-showrunner Steven D. Binder told TVLine earlier this year of the big crossover.

Fellow NCIS showrunner David North added: “One of our own beloved characters will end up in grave danger, and you’ll see all the different franchises brought into this in a slightly different way.”

He teased, “We’re going to play a lot of tributes to the past,” while Binder revealed there will be “some Easter eggs for old fans of the show.”

NCIS’ historic installment could be the first of many, as CBS recently announced two more series are joining the franchise.

NCIS: Origins will be a prequel series focusing on a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (originally played by Mark Harmon on NCIS). The premiere will take place during the 2024-2025 broadcast season.
