Patrick Mahomes is proud of how the Kansas City Chiefs played this weekend, but knows they still have to perform to make it to Super Bowl LVIII.

“Hey, real quick, real quick,” Mahomes, 28, said in a clip of the N.F.L while in the team's locker room after Sunday, January 21's game against the Buffalo Bills. “They asked for it and they got what they asked for.”

Mahomes turned to his teammates and reminded them of what Travis Kelce had told them earlier in the day: their season isn't over yet and they still have a game to play.

“But he said it, this ain't done,” the quarterback shouted, acknowledging the tight end's words of wisdom. “We'll be back next week, ready to go.”

Kelce, 34, jumped in and told the team to “step it up” as they prepare for their next showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.

Mahomes ended his pep talk by leading the team in their “Chiefs on 3” chant.

During Sunday's playoff game, the Chiefs narrowly defeated the Bills by a final score of 27-24. The Bills had a chance to tie the game in the final quarter, but kicker Tyler Bass missed a field goal that led to the Chiefs' victory.

The win also gave Mahomes another honor to add to his list. The athlete became the quarterback with the most playoff wins before the age of 30. According to StatMuse, Mahomes now has 13 wins and has passed Tom Bradya total of 12.

The Bills-Chiefs rivalry was in full swing on Sunday. The teams had bad blood left over from their December 2023 regular season matchup. In the matchup, Kelce threw a pass to Kadarius Toney to score a touchdown. However, the referees called a penalty which cost them the points and the match. After the loss, Mahomes expressed his frustration with the call in a conversation with the Bills manager. Josh Allen.

“The wildest king call I've ever seen,” Mahomes joked. 'Offensive offside on that play, man, terrible, king.' (Mahomes later apologized to Allen, 27, and said he “regretted” his actions.)

When several Chiefs entered the locker room on game day Sunday, they were met by some passionate Bills fans throwing snowballs their way. Linebacker Drue Calm down had a few words for the group on social media after the match.

'I caught the snowball. If it didn't break in my hand, it was fired straight at him.' Tranquill, 28, wrote via X that he had to avoid the frozen fastballs. 'We'd also beat them in a snowball fight. The truth is, my four-year-old throws a meaner snowball than #BillsMafia.
