The horror crime was committed by Brown at her home in Windsor, within earshot of them two children in 2010.

The following year he was thrown behind bars for 26 years after being convicted of manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.

Brown was scheduled to be released to the Attorney General’s office in early November Alex Chalk boarded – to use “detention powers” to keep him behind bars.

The killer then started a criminal investigation Judgement at the High Court against Chalk’s decision to block his automatic release jail.

The review concluded today and it was ruled that Brown would remain behind bars.

It came days after Joanna’s mother Di Parkes opened up about it how scared she would be if Brown were to walk the streets again.

‘I do not really know [what he will do]but I hope he will come and kill me first, so that my whole family and in fact women in general will be safe I think he’s a psychopath.”

During a hearing earlier this month, it became clear that Brown could be at risk of killing again if he is released from prison early and “is unrepentant.”

The Department of Justice argued he posed a “significant risk of serious harm” due to his “non-involvement” with probation officers, which allowed officers to properly assess the danger.

The killer’s lawyers said it was a “political decision‘ made by the State Secretary under pressure from the media and not based on policy.

It was revealed that before a decision was made in October last year, the Secretary of State had received letters from 220 MPs raising concerns about the matter.

If he killed me, he would basically be sent to prison for the rest of his life.

Brown’s lawyer Philip Rule KC argued that due to the extensive media campaign surrounding the case, the Minister of Justice “seized the decision to detain Brown to justify” rather than first gathering evidence.

He told London’s High Court today: “There was no open mind applied by the time you had to make a decision.”

Mr Rule added: “This issue does not seem to be staying off the top of the pile for the Minister because of the attention it is receiving.”

Joanna’s family and close friends have been campaigning since her death to prevent Brown from being released halfway through his 26-year manslaughter sentence.

The sun launched its Justice For Joanna campaign last year to ask the attorney general to review Brown’s case.
