Pippa Middleton proved she wasn’t afraid to be daring with her fashion choices tonight as she left an event in London.

The sister of the Princess of Wales, 40, stunned in a sophisticated bottle green high-neck cocktail dress at the British Heart Foundation’s Heart Hero Awards ceremony at Glaziers Hall.

Her daring dress looked typically stylish and was made from sheer lace, but the mother-of-three made sure to keep it hidden with a nude slip dress.

Pippa dressed appropriately for the holidays, adding a pop of red to her green ensemble.

She carried a classic red handbag and paired it with an elegant pair of pointed-heeled pumps in a similarly bold color.

Pippa opted for a simple but effective makeup look for the evening, complete with nude lipstick and black eyeliner. For the occasion, she styled her glossy dark brown locks in delicate curls.

Tonight’s occasion aims to recognize people who “dedicate a significant portion of their time and energy to helping beat cardiovascular disease.”

Pippa’s outing comes after The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden revealed in October that she had broken through the maze of rules that face anyone attempting a home improvement.

Her prize? Approval for her latest dream: to build both a brand new swimming pool and an artificial grass tennis court on the Berkshire estate which she and her husband, hedge fund CEO James Matthews, 48, bought for £15 million last year.

It’s quite a triumph – and not just because at 25 x 6 meters their pool is twice the size of a typical private pool and locally rivaled only by those at Newbury and Hungerford leisure centres.

What made Pippa’s plans particularly controversial was her desire to place the pool in what had until now been a beautiful vegetable garden, rather than opting to extend the estate’s existing swimming pool.

The council’s conservation officer raised concerns about the abandonment of ‘horticultural use’ in favor of ‘recreational/recreational use’, and the potential loss of ‘historic fabric’ in one of the kitchen garden walls during the construction process.

The council’s senior archaeologist, Sarah Orr, was hardly more encouraging, pointing out that the estate’s 17th-century manor house was close to ‘many Middle Stone Age sites’, several of which were less than a quarter of a mile away.

A new basin could “have an impact on the remaining archaeological deposits”, Orr warned, before recommending “the digging of trenches or test pits” where work was proposed.

But Pippa persevered and plans were changed no fewer than seven times until victory was achieved.

One last detail requires her attention: no external lighting may be installed above the tennis court or swimming pool, the municipality emphasizes, until ‘a lighting strategy has been submitted and approved’.

Meanwhile, Pippa has a new nephew after her brother James and wife Alizee Thevenet welcomed a son this fall.

In October, the Princess of Wales’ brother, 36, revealed his son Inigo was born a few weeks earlier in an adorable Instagram post after he and his wife were spotted with a pram for the first time.

The new dad shared a photo of Inigo’s tiny hand ‘holding’ a badge featuring an emblem of his late beloved dog Ella, and another photo of the little baby in his crib as James’ other dogs watched over him, praising the NHS for caring for both Alizee and the newborn at Basingstoke Hospital where he was born.

He also revealed he has already taught little Inigo about Ella, who passed away in January this year leaving James heartbroken.

While he didn’t reveal Inigo’s exact birthday, he said the little one has been in his life for “just a few weeks.”

In a heartfelt announcement on Instagram, James wrote: ‘He’s only been in our lives for a few weeks, but getting to know our beautiful baby boy has been the most special of my life.

‘No matter how good I thought I was… I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of first meeting Inigo and loving my sweet Alizée when we turned three.

‘We have settled into our new life as parents and I told him all about Ella and that if it wasn’t for her he wouldn’t be here today and that we miss her so much.

‘The dogs have done a fantastic job of welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka should know the teddy bears aren’t just for her…)

‘We would like to thank the amazing team at Basingstoke Hospital, from the very first scan to walking out the front door for the first time when we were three. We couldn’t have felt more supported and cared for, so thank you NHS.”
