The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a sweet round of photos of the year, sharing photos from their royal engagements and unseen family photos with their children.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, their official account posted a video with the caption: “2023 [tick emoji]. Thank you to everyone who was part of our year’.

The photos showed William with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in a sweet, unseen photo from their father’s photo shoot.

The image also includes a subtle but poignant tribute to the children’s great-grandmother, as they pose on a bench installed in Windsor to commemorate the late Queen’s 90th birthday on April 19, 2016.

The photo was taken by photographer and family friend Millie Pilkington at the Windsor Estate earlier this year – possibly at the same time she took the photos of Louis in a wheelbarrow to mark his fifth birthday in April.

Another showed William meeting well-wishers, as did Kate Middleton with Roman Kemp, at a beehive watching the Six Nations.

Other photos included the coronation, various Shaping up Campaign events and St. Patrick’s Day.

The princess said at the time: ‘I really couldn’t be more proud to be standing here in front of you today. It is truly an honor to be your colonel. I am here to listen to you, support you and defend you in everything you do – this is a responsibility I do not take lightly.”

Another photo showed her capturing the royal family enjoying her lesser-known passion for beekeeping, a hobby she shares with her brother.

The mother-of-three, 41, fully embraced the World Bee Day initiative in May, wearing a beekeeping suit as she tended a busy beehive in the grounds of Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

The photo, taken last year by Matt Porteous, the royal photographer behind Prince William and Kate’s official family photos, shows the princess lifting part of the hive to collect honey.

As she does so, she grins from inside the beekeeper’s helmet and looks down at the group of honeybees gathered around the board.

The photo was posted to Kensington Royal’s Instagram to mark World Bee Day.

Another shows the couple taking part in a spin class during a visit to the Aberavon Leisure and Fitness Center in Port Talbot.

Challenged to a 45-second race in which Kate even asked if she could increase the bike’s resistance and ‘make it harder’, the pair battled it out as they were cheered on by spectators.
