Queen Camilla provides update on King Charles III's health after procedure

Queen Camille shares an update on husband King Charles IIIhealth after his stay in hospital.

Camilla, 76, dropped by the Royal Free Hospital in London on Wednesday, January 31, to officially open the new cancer support center Maggie's Royal Free.

The Queen attended the engagement solo as Charles, 75, recovers from treatment for an enlarged prostate. During her performance, Camilla shared that Charles is “doing well” and “trying his best.” Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer reported via X.

Palmer also shared clips of Camilla arriving at the hospital and shaking hands with staff members.

Buckingham Palace announced on January 17 that Charles would undergo treatment for the common prostate condition. That same day, Kensington Palace announced this Princess Kate Middleton had a “planned” abdominal procedure.

Charles was discharged from the London Clinic – the same facility where Kate, 42, had her surgery – on Monday, January 29.

“Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes during The King's hospital stay,” the royal family shared via X on Monday. “His Majesty is pleased that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”

Kensington Palace also shared an update on Kate's recovery on Monday.

“The Princess of Wales has returned to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery,” said a statement shared via X. “She is making good progress.”

While Kate recovers, her husband, Prince Williamhas stepped up their care for their three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

While no details about Kate's abdominal surgery have been shared so far, a second source spoke exclusively Us earlier this month that the princess “may release more information in due course.”
