Queer Eye has revealed the name of the new member of the Fab Five.

The Netflix show has unveiled interior designer Jeremiah Brent as the replacement for Bobby Berk, who announced he would be leaving after series eight.

Bobby claimed he left because of contract scheduling and not because of any tension with his castmates, but there are rumors of a feud with co-star Tan France.

Jeremiah, 39, will join returning cast members Karamo Brown, Tan France, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness.

Karamo helps with culture and self-confidence, while Tan helps with fashion makeovers and Antoni with food, while Jonathan is in charge of hair and beauty.

Jeremiah will take over Bobby’s role as interior design guru, which is often seen by fans as the most difficult job as they often have to transform entire homes or workspaces.

According to Netflix, the new series will be set in Las Vegas as the team attempts to help a series of local heroes who have strayed from the path.

Jeremiah rose to prominence as a styling associate for celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe on The Rachel Zoe Project.

He also previously hosted the Oprah Winfrey Network’s Emmy-winning design series Home Made Simple.

After this, he was the design expert on the Netflix show Say I Do.

Jeremiah is married to fellow design expert Nate Berkus, with whom he co-directed Nate & Jeremiah by Design, Nate & Jeremiah Save My House, and The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project.

The couple have been married for ten years and have two children: daughter Poppy, nine, and a son, Oskar, six.

The cast signed contracts for seven cycles ending in September 2022, and they believed season eight would be the last.

Speaking to Vanity Fair last month, Bobby said: “We took pictures and cried.”

A year later, the Fab Five were surprised with brand new four-cycle contracts, and everyone decided to sign except Bobby.

Bobby explained, “Because only one of us didn’t come back, Netflix felt [it] one person could rearrange [for the Las Vegas-set ninth season].

‘Emotions were certainly there. But each of us had our reasons for doing what we did. I can’t be angry – for a moment I was.

‘All the plans I had made when I thought we wouldn’t come back, I just didn’t want to change.

‘I should have put on the brakes on several other projects that were already in progress. We had mentally prepared ourselves to move on, that’s why I left.”

Speaking about the speculation of a feud with Tan, Bobby admitted he had “a moment” with his former co-star, which led him to unfollow him on Instagram last fall.

He said, “There was a situation, and it’s between Tan and me, and it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that was brewing – and nothing romantic, just to clarify that.”

‘Should I have unfollowed Tan? No. Maybe I should have just muted it. But that day I was angry, and that was the end of it. We have become like brothers and sisters, and brothers and sisters will always fight.”

When the feuding friends won their first-ever Emmy Awards for Outstanding Structured Reality Program for their roles as Queer Eye producers, they hugged each other at the Jan. 7 ceremony.

Bobby said, “We both said congratulations. And that’s where we are now.’

‘I will always have a very special place in my heart for him and [Tan’s husband] Rob and the kids. I can predict that in six months or a year, Tan and I will be fine at each other’s house. The Emmys were already the first bandage on that wound.’

Bobby now splits his time between his properties in Los Angeles and Portugal with his husband of 11 years, Dewey Do.
