Mumbai: In what would be a good news for Delhi Capitals fans, Rishabh Pant would lead the franchise in IPL 2024. He would lead the side as per a report in ESPNCricinfo, but he will not keep any wickets. Pant, who has not played any form of cricket after a horrific accident last year, is said to be back in action and that bodes well for his side. Pant has been training hard before this season of the IPL.

The Capitals will begin the hunt for their maiden IPL title in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League from March 23 when they take on Punjab Kings in Mohali. Their second match is on March 28 in Jaipur against Rajasthan Royals. Their third match will be against defending champions Chennai Super Kings on March 31 in Vizag and the fourth and final match as per the schedule of the first 15 days will be against KKR on April 3.

Delhi have a strong side as they have managed to bring in players like Harry Brook and Tristan Stubbs for good prices and they already had a prominent side who will be happy with the likely return of the dynamic Rishabh Pant.
