Sarah Ferguson unveils a new children’s book due out in the new year, but is one character inspired by grandson August?

Sarah Ferguson revealed that she has written a new children’s book that will be published next year, and it appears that one of the characters is inspired by her grandson.

The Duchess of York, 64, took to Instagram on Sunday to share the exciting news with a Christmas bauble to promote the book Tale of Tails.

Sarah revealed that one of the characters in the book is named Augustus, who appears to be the two-year-old son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

Eugenie, who also has an 11-month-old son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, is Sarah’s youngest daughter.

Sharing a photo of the book on social media, Sarah wrote: ‘Well, hello Augustus. I’m so excited to introduce you to my new children’s book Tale of Tails, coming out next year with beautiful illustrations by Frank Endersby and baubles production by Sonya at CherishedGifts Co.

‘In the meantime, if you are still looking for a children’s holiday reading book, go to the link in my bio and find ‘Little Red Christmas’ under ‘books’. I hope everyone enjoys some extra time to read and rest.”

It seems that the character Augustus is a snail carrying a bunch of Christmas presents on a hillshell.

Other characters in the book include Lord & Lady Slugginton-Smythe, Harriette, Horace the Post Deliveryer, Mr Wingfield, Mr Carp, Hazel, Professor Wormington, Chompy, Dr. Ow, Dily & Dally, Dot & Doll and Willy.

The grandmother of three previously discussed how her grandchildren, Ernest, Augustus, and Princess Beatrice’s two-year-old daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, call her on the podcast Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.

“I’m grandma number two – now number three!” Sarah says, correcting herself, adding that she was a “loving grandma,” GG. I’m GG, I love GG.’

Sarah is the author of several children’s books, including Ballerina Rosie; Tea for Ruby, illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser; and the Little Red series, as well as a memoir, Finding Sarah.

She also wrote a historical novel to deal with the stress of her ex-husband’s sexual abuse lawsuit.

She wrote her Victorian-era book, A Most Intriguing Lady, while Prince Andrew was battling Virginia Giuffre’s sexual assault allegations.

Writing allowed the Duchess to “escape through my imagination” and “be merry.” She said becoming an “author” also helped her define herself in the public eye.

Sarah presented the Queen, her ‘amazing best friend’ and ‘mother’, with a copy of her novel in French before her death. It is unclear whether Her Majesty has read the book.

The Duchess revealed how writing has helped her cope during an interview at the Henley Literary Festival on Wednesday.

She explained how she threw herself into her work amid the public criticism surrounding her former husband.

“I escape into everything in life through my imagination and through my will to be joyful,” Sarah said, according to The Times.

The royal family said it did not blame the press coverage of Andrew’s scandal, noting that the “media is crucial.”

“I think the media is critical for many different reasons,” she explained.

‘Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they get it wrong. And I think we’ll just keep going and never explain too much or say too much.”

Sarah also talked about how writing novels has helped her define her place in the world.

‘Now people can finally say, ‘Oh, she’s the author,’ instead of, ‘She’s…’ . . Um, I don’t know,” she told the conference.

The Duchess also spoke about the painful loss of Queen Elizabeth II, adding that she was happy to have inherited her corgis.

“She is my mother and my amazing best friend. I have been the happiest person in the world because every minute is a memory and it will remain in my heart and in my thoughts,” Sarah explained.

‘When we wrote the book, I gave it to the boss [the Queen]. I said, you don’t have to read it. I gave it to her in French.

‘I’ve known the boss all my life and there’s no one like her. I wouldn’t do anything unless the boss let me.”

She added: ‘It’s a great loss. I think if we can uphold her values ​​and what she has built over the last 70 years, we will do a great job. Kindness, loyalty and always manners.’

A Most Intriguing Lady is scheduled for release on February 28, 2023. It is the second book written by the Duchess.

Her first novel, a historical romance entitled Her Heart for a Compass, was published last year. It tells the story of Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott and how ‘one act of rebellion costs her place in society’.

Andrew’s royal career ended in disgrace after he was forced to pay an out-of-court settlement to Ms Giuffre earlier this year. The undisclosed settlement is worth approximately £12 million.

Ms. Giuffre alleged that he sexually assaulted her three times in 2001, when she was 17, after she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, although Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

The settlement was not an admission of liability, but the queen’s supposedly favorite son was stripped of his royal patronages and honorary military titles in January.
