Selena Gomez is “finally in a good place” in her life

“Part of me feels like I’m finally in a good place with everything in my life,” Gomez, 31, said. Rolling stone in an interview published on Monday, March 4.
The “Love On” singer noted that her new music “comes from a place of trust” that shows the “joy and curiosity” she is experiencing now. She added that she “hopes” her next album will be released in 2024, but she is unsure of the timeline. Gomez noted that she’s not even sure if her most recent singles will be part of her next album.
“I guess objectively I would say I’m working on an album, but I don’t know if those songs would be on that project,” she said. Billboard in an interview published Monday. “I feel like I’m brewing, and I’m hopefully creating some great songs. I don’t know if they would fit what I’m going to use.

While Gomez made headlines in January for hinting that her next album could be her last, she made it clear that she may not be ready to say goodbye to music just yet.
“I think it’s normal for people to take breaks, but I think for me there’s a whole different aspect to my life: pride and joy,” Gomez said. Rolling stone. “I love movies. I like television. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things I want to do in that area. It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music]it’s more that I would like to explore that world a little more and have the time to actually do so.”
In addition to her musical pursuits, Gomez recently began filming the fourth season of Only murders in the building alongside Steve Martin And Martijn Kortwhere she was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2023 and 2024.
Noting that she is excited about taking on other challenging acting endeavors, Gomez said, “I love being able to play roles that I have to fight for, not the roles that are handed to me. I go for the things that really inspire me.”

In addition to the hit Hulu series, Gomez is also confirmed to be joining a reboot of Wizards of Waverly Place and play a singer Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic.
“I’m entering someone’s life, and that can be very intimidating,” she said of the biopic. “But I’m more than inspired by it [Ronstadt]and I know too much about her at this point.
As for her personal life, Gomez went public with her boyfriend Benny Blanco in December 2023 and since then the couple has been putting their romance on full display. A source said this exclusively in January We weekly that she is excited about this relationship.
“Selena has made it clear that she wants Benny by her side from now on, and she is proudly introducing him to everyone in her life,” the insider said. “They kept it quiet [at first], but Benny passed every test with flying colors. The New Year seemed like a perfect time to essentially scream [their love] from the rooftops, so that’s what Selena does.”
