THIS is the shocking moment a passenger headbutted a flight attendant on an Emirates flight from Dubai.

Fellow passengers claim that the man became so drunk in his body Business class cabin that he started becoming violent.

The shocked passengers recalled how the cabin crew on flight EK614 to Islamabad, Pakistantried to restrain the unruly man.

But the video shows him violently headbutting one of the male flight attendants before he was eventually restrained.

The camera sees another cabin crew member come to the steward’s aid and the pair are able to wrestle him to the ground.

As the two cabin crew try to keep the man on the ground, a third crew member approaches with a pair of black emergency cable ties – which are kept on board to accommodate problematic passengers.

It then shows how one flight attendant forcibly holds the man flat on the ground while the other fastens the cuffs.

Other passengers reported that the man was stuck in his seat while cabin crew kept an eye on him until the day of departure Boeing 777 landed.

Pakistani airport police boarded the flight at 1:20 a.m. local time to arrest him.

Some passengers said they were “terrified” by the disaster and avoided walking past the airman for fear he would attack them.

One passenger said: “The drunk man was extremely violent. He was held down and handcuffed by Emirates cabin crew, but I think the Pakistani authorities let him go because he was well connected.”

An Emirates spokesperson said: “Emirates can confirm that there was an unruly passenger on flight EK614 traveling from Dubai to Islamabad on February 24.

“The passenger was restrained by cabin crew and handed over to authorities upon arrival.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance and Emirates is committed to ensuring this is never compromised.

“Emirates is currently cooperating with authorities and cannot comment further.”

Alcohol is prohibited in Pakistan Muslim residents – a law that would have led to many citizens binge drinking abroad.

Although the UAE is also a strict Islamic country, the country has become more tolerant than its neighbors in recent years.

Amid its rise as a travel destination for westernersthe laws have changed so that anyone over the age of 21 can purchase alcohol.

Drinks may only be consumed privately or at licensed locations, but are available indoors Dubai International airport and in bars and restaurants in the city.

However, according to the Civil Aviation Act, no one may enter an aircraft drunk, or become drunk on any aircraft.

Airlines reserve the right to refuse passengers they consider to be a potential risk, including anyone who is drunk.

And if an aircraft commander has reason to believe that a passenger poses a risk, he has the right to take all reasonable steps to protect safety.

Yet drunken mid-air brawls have become increasingly common over the past year – and especially in February this year.

On February 19 A terrifying brawl broke out on a Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife.

Fellow passengers said they endured hours of chaos after two men, believed to be brothers, and a woman began shouting at each other.

A man in the blue shirt was filmed rushing down the aisle of the plane and standing directly opposite the second man in gray.

They both seemed to be yelling at anyone who tried to intervene and stop them.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: “The crew of this flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife (February 19) requested police assistance after a small number of passengers on board became disruptive.

“The aircraft was met by local police upon arrival in Tenerife and these passengers were removed. This is now a matter for the local police.”

And just a day later, on February 20, a man on an American Airlines flight had to be detained after allegedly trying to open an emergency door in mid-air.

The Wonton Don (@DonnieDoesWorld) said he was sleeping in his seat when he was awakened “by a man aggressively trying to open the plane door four rows back.”

“Me and five other guys had to wrestle him down the aisle, tape his legs and put flexible cuffs on him.”

American Airlines told The US Sun: “Flight 1219 operating from Albuquerque (ABQ) to Chicago (ORD) returned to ABQ shortly after takeoff due to a cabin malfunction involving a disruptive customer.

“The flight landed safely and the aircraft was met by local police upon arrival.”
