For the past six years, Leonie R., 35, from Lambeth, London, has done everything from pet sitting to tennis coaching to bring in some extra cash.

Chat with My LondonLeonie explained that she had started a non-profit business, but the entrepreneur realized she needed additional income to keep herself afloat while selflessly helping others.

So the 35-year-old investigated the use Air taskera marketplace for local services, connecting you, the customer, with an experienced individual who can perform a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, caring for a dog, catering, cooking and flooring, to name a few.

Leonie joined the site in 2018 and has since completed over 620 tasks.

Some of these, she revealed, include things like property cleaning, tennis coaching and other handyman jobs.

It’s just the extra money she appreciates; the entrepreneur has also had the opportunity to escape the loneliness she found herself in.

As a non-profit founder, Leonie was hit by a wave where she spent most of her time alone, but Airtask allowed her to get out and meet people through these different jobs.

The Londoner said: “I have always been passionate about helping others at a high level and it is great to be able to use my broad skillset and earn extra income.

“Being validated for my work by having customers come back to me and the reviews I get means a lot, I just wish Airtasker was here much sooner!”

Driving time – €200 per month

If you have a full UK driving licence, the right to work in Britain and access to a decent sized vehicle, there are a number of side issues to consider.

For example, one of them becomes a taxi driver for one of the major apps in the industry, such as Uber or Bolt.

You’ll need to go through a vetting process at first, but once you’re approved, drivers can choose their hours and earn around £15 per hour.

However, it’s worth noting that you should be prepared for the company to receive a percentage of what you earn from customers they refer to you.

Another option is to turn your car into a moving advertisement; companies like CarQuids and Drovo will pay up to £200 a month to plaster company adverts across your vehicle.

Round it up – £15 per hour

There are also parcel delivery services such as Amazon Flex and Hermes, which are also a great option if you want to work flexibly.

Depending on which app you use, it can be super easy to get started and some places charge you twice a week – cha-ching.

With this part-time job it is possible to earn between £13 and £15 per hour, but this depends on where you live and how many deliveries you make.
