Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Calls Kody and Robyn’s Marriage ‘Shallow’

Janelle Brown questioned Kody Brown And Robin Brown‘s ‘covenant’ – and their marriage – as they rewatch season 18 Sister Women final.

“That’s a really weird thing to promise when you get into a relationship,” Janelle, 54, said during the Friday, December 29 Sister wives talk back episode after learning about Kody, 54, and Robyn’s wedding vows. “That’s really weird.”

Janelle referenced Kody’s proclamation in the November finale, in which he reminded Robyn, 45, of the “agreement [she] required from [him] get married.” During the finale, Kody claimed, “Our sacred covenant was that if I ever wasn’t in love with you, I wouldn’t just sit there with you and be in a pathetic place with you.”

Janelle was surprised by Kody’s statements, saying in Friday’s episode, “I don’t think he’s telling everything.” Maybe. Maybe their relationship is so superficial because, I’m sorry, in a relationship you fall in and out of love a lot.

Meri Brownwho was present during Kody and Robyn’s first conversation, rewatched the clip with her old BFF Jenwho was also shocked by Kody’s comments.

“I feel like something should have happened differently,” Jenn told 52-year-old Meri. Christine [Brown]? And Robyn says, “Well, if this happens to us, promise me…”

Meri responded, “Oh my god, are you serious? I have never [thought of that].”

Elsewhere in the episode, Janelle called out Kody for telling Meri during the season 18 finale that “the act” of marrying her was “easy” before their split. Meri confirmed her split from Kody in January after Janelle announced her split from the patriarch in December 2022. Christine, 51, previously divorced Kody in 2021. Robyn is still married to Kody.

“I was there. He was involved in the relationships. He wasn’t just doing his duty. He was engaged to the family,” Janelle claimed on Sunday’s episode, revealing that she was irritated by Kody’s comments. “But now that he’s a has found a different kind of love with Robyn, he says, “Well, it was just pretend before. I was just pretending. I was just doing my duty.” It’s bull-t.”

Christine commented that Kody “needs to stop talking” while watching the awkward scene between Meri and Kody. After Kody called his relationship with Meri a “gig,” Janelle once again spoke out about her exes’ claims.

‘I wonder if he realizes some of us did the same thing. He’s not the only one who kind of had to fulfill his obligations,” Janelle joked during a confessional. “I’m sorry, buddy, that’s what happens in a marriage. If your relationships are bad, everyone feels that way.”
