AN ANGRY Qantas Airlines customer slammed the dire conditions of their plane and the “inedible” food options.

The customer explained that even though they weren't normally picky when it came to food, what they got really took the cake.

The Anonymous Redditor u/public butt crack shared their subpar flying experience on a forum.

“All I can say with my recent experience is EW,” they wrote.

The passenger shared photos of one of their breakfasts on a flight from Brisbane to Adelaide last week.

The marinating in a paper box was a messy combination of scrambled eggs, a hash brown, a tomato and a sausage.

A second boxed meal was what looked like potato curry.

“The breakfast was inedible and I'm usually not picky about food. The potatoes were okay,” they said.

In addition to their disappointing meal, the passenger also shared photos of a ceiling vent filled with napkins to prevent droplets from landing on passengers, and photos of dirty stained glass windows.

Fellow passengers were divided in their opinion of the quality of the meal.

Many were equally dissatisfied with their previous experiences flying with Qantas.

“I sat in my dirty chair that I paid an arm and a leg for a few nights ago. I ate my 'dinner' in a box,” one commenter said.

“Then I opened the Qantas-in-flight magazine and saw $1,980 shoes and $45,000 watches. Their priorities are dog**t.”

“Absolutely awful! The food looks like someone relieved themselves in a box,” said one outraged viewer.

Some said that even though the presentation was questionable, they would be fine with what was presented to them.

“I would eat the food. It doesn't look great but tastes good. I don't expect much from the cattle class,” said one commenter.

Some disagreed, including one critic who was left shocked after seeing the photos.

“Omg, what the hell is that box of sludge?” they asked.

Frequent Qantas passengers agreed that they have seen a noticeable decline in the services they paid for recently.

“I fly regularly for work and have certainly noticed the rapid decline of Qantas in general,” said one.

“I'm surprised they can still charge premium prices for substandard service.”

A Qantas spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the incident was a one-off.

“There are no flight details in the social media post so we have no specific information about what happened, but all our aircraft are cleaned with disinfectant between flights and at the end of the day and undergo regular deep cleaning . ,” they said.

“The presentation of some of the meals is not what they normally look like, but overall we have had good feedback on the new dishes and larger portions we have recently introduced.”
