Strictly’s Katya Jones wishes her ‘amazing friends and their celebrity partners’ the best of luck as Amy Dowden shares her support ahead of the final

Katya Jones wished her ‘amazing friends and their celebrity partners’ the best of luck in the Strictly Come Dancing final on Saturday.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin all made it to the final where they will compete for the glitterball trophy.

The professional dancer was working with Nigel Harman, but they had to pull out when the actor suffered a rib injury after trying to perform a stunt during rehearsals.

Elsewhere, Amy Dowden also shared a supportive message to her Instagram Story ahead of the live show.

Katya shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos: ‘To my wonderful friends and their famous partners. You did it. We have been so blessed to see you shine so brightly on Strictly Stage all these weeks.”

She continued: “To my ridiculously talented, passionate, astonishingly hardworking, outstanding fellow professionals Dianne, Nikita, Vito: you are true inspirations, your love and passion for your profession inspires and changes people’s lives.

‘You give your heart and soul, you give a piece of yourself to your partners, but always remain humble and true to yourself. I applaud you.

“Our phenomenal finalists – Ellie, Bobby and Layton – are loving every moment of tonight. What an achievement, regardless of the outcome.

‘You have become dancers, but you have also grown and evolved as people. I can’t wait to cheer you all on tonight!

‘This season was ridiculously good! So tonight let’s celebrate these three amazing couples and share the love and appreciation for their dedication!’

Amy, who was unable to take part in this year’s series due to her cancer diagnosis, shared a photo of the finalists.

She wrote: ‘Happy finals day to these absolute superstars.’

Amanda Abbington updated her Story with a photo of the participants and wrote: Good luck tonight to these six beautiful people.’

He added: ‘I actually can’t believe this show is still going on, hahaha… so happy to be back tonight for one last dance with the rest of the team! Being back after so many weeks feels so strange, but in a good way… I couldn’t stop smiling and it’s so good to see everyone!

‘This show has given me so much, I have learned more about myself on this show than any other experience I have done before! And for that I am so grateful!

‘But another box has been ticked, another adventure completed and as the door closes on my Strictly journey, I want to thank everyone who voted for me week after week, it means the world!!

‘But also for everyone who works strictly on it, this show brings so much light and love to millions of people who watch at home every night and that’s because of you, no matter how big or how small your task is, it’s a team effort and without this show wouldn’t be possible so thanks x

Ellie says: ‘It still doesn’t feel real that I’m going to do Strictly!! It’s always been a dream of mine, so I guess dreams really do come true!!!!’

Profession: EastEnders star and model

Bobby says: ‘I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line-up, I can’t wait to start training as a professional dancer and add a few moves to my locker. I look forward to performing for everyone.”
