Sarah Snook gushed over her husband Dave Lawson as she revealed how their whirlwind romance came about.

The Australian actress appeared on Friday night’s episode of The Graham Norton Show and opened up about her fairytale romance.

The couple secretly married in 2021 in the garden of her home in Brooklyn, New York, during the Covid pandemic, while quarantining together.

Reflecting on her romance, she told Graham: “We were best friends for years and then got stuck in Lockdown together.

“We fell in love, I suggested, got married and had a baby in a short time, because I felt like I’d been here before, like it was a repeat of something. It’s not a big word to say ‘soulmate.’

Sarah first revealed she had tied the knot with Dave in an interview with Vogue Australia.

She told the publication: ‘At the start of the pandemic last year I was locked down in Melbourne with one of my best friends and we fell in love.

“We’ve been friends since 2014, living together, traveling together, always excited to see each other, but completely platonic.”

Sarah added that the stars aligned and a romance developed between the pair.

“We’ve just never been single at the same time,” she explained. “It’s been a ride. There is so much sadness and grief in the world, but on a micro-personal level I have been very lucky.”

In May, the couple revealed they had welcomed their first child when Sarah shared a photo of herself watching the latest episode of Succession.

Although she’s best known for her role as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy on the HBO hit, she wasn’t allowed to talk about it on The Graham Norton Show due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

She appeared on the famous red sofa alongside actors Miriam Margolyes and Greta Lee, pop legend Boy George and singer-songwriter CMAT to promote her one-woman play The Picture of Dorian Gray.
