Cadbury has been impressing chocolate lovers for two centuries, but not all of their products are still on the shelves.

Many fans have been saddened by the cancellations over the years, but now they can relive all their former joys.

The company displays a wealth of ax sticks at their Bournville headquarters, from Cadbury Pineapple to Flake Snow.

In their classic range, flavors include Ginger, Turkish Delight, Old Jamaican rum and Golden Crisp with honeycomb.

Other throwbacks included Cadbury’s Pineapple, which is actually still available online, Almond Dessert, Marzipan Tray, Astros and Spira bars.

The beloved Spira bar was discontinued in 2005 and fans tried to bring it back in 2020, but were unsuccessful.

More retro choices included Coffee Creme, Royal Mint and Super Mousse.

In the early 2000s, Cadbury released a chocolate collection called Wicked, in sexier packaging, but it didn’t stick around for long.

Fans were shocked to hear that an Easter favorite had been taken off the production line.

The nostalgic Egg ‘n’ Spoons treat consisted of four chocolate eggs filled with vanilla or chocolate mousse and even a special Oreo variety.

Modelez-owned Cadbury broke the sad news last year, but some chocolate lovers only heard about it recently.

Some devastated chocoholics called the abolition a “crime”.

One posted: “Petition to get CadburyUK to bring back eggs and spoons.”

“My villain origin story will be the fact that Cadbury has discontinued their egg n’ spoon,” wrote another.

Moreover, fans were also disappointed after the chocolate giant confirmed once again that their “best” bar will not be returning.

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Toffee Popcorn hit shelves alongside Marvelous Creations in 2012, but people were sad that only the former still exists

People were sad to hear that the limited edition was being discontinued.

One wrote: “Cadbury released all of these in 2012, the only one left to buy is the top one – the worst.

“The best was clearly Toffee Popcorn.”

Another user commented on the post: “Toffee Popcorn was the best, I agree.”

Others were upset to discover that a “great” flavor had been added to the chop.

Shoppers wailed “whaaat why!” after noticing that Dairy Milk Marvelous Mix-ups with Oreo have been pulled from the shelves.

And just a few months ago, the chocolatier confirmed it had axed Peanut Caramel Crisp Bars.

The revelation angered customers, with one furious: “Cadbury’s Peanut Caramel Crisp is the best chocolate bar they’ve made in years.”

But the company continues to deliver the country’s bestsellers.

As Cadbury celebrated its bicentenary, The Sun revealed some of the rather sweet secrets from inside the brand.

Dairy Milk, launched in June 1905, remains Cadbury’s bestseller.

However, it has been revealed that Dairy Milk Oreo, which hit shelves in 2012, is “not far behind” when it comes to variants of the much-loved brand.

There’s even a team of ‘supertasters’ in Reading, Berks, who help Cadbury inventors come up with their wonderful new creations.

The group consists of seven to eight people “with very strong taste buds” who have been carefully selected for the position.

ICONIC CHOCOLATES THAT HAVE LEFT THE SHELVES

Cadbury’s Dream chocolate bar: The popular bar closed in 2002, but was relaunched in 2019 under the new name ‘Cadbury White’.

Mars Delight bar: Although it proved to be a firm favorite among sweet-tooth fans during its four-year run in stores from 2004, it was pulled from shelves in 2008. Fans are still eager to see the treat return.

Nestlé’s Caramac chocolate bar: The unique bar had been in stores for more than sixty years, but was discontinued last year due to continued sales declines.

Milky way crispy rolls: They were pulled from shelves in 2022 and fans were so distraught by the news that a petition was started to bring them back, which currently has over 8,500 signatures.

White Maltese: The white chocolate version of the popular snack had a strong run of eleven years, but due to declining sales it was discontinued in 2014

Chocoholics are rushing to get their hands on the delicious treats which have been heavily reduced in price – just in time for Easter.

Bargain hunters rushed to fill their baskets after discovering boxes of 42 flakes were being flogged for just 30 cents.

The stealing deal is currently running at budget store Discount Dragon.

This useful information was shared on Facebook in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group.

The message read: “42 Cadbury Flakes for ONLY 30 cents at Discount Dragon.

“There is a minimum spend of €25 online, but delivery is free.

“There are also many other competitively priced products available.”

Shoppers may receive a maximum of three boxes per order and each box comes with 14 bars.

A single box of “the crumbliest, flakiest milk chocolate” costs just 10p, making it £2.15 cheaper than its retail price of £2.25.

The chocolate treats are “ideal for ice cream, hot chocolate and the decoration of desserts and cakes,” the seller writes.

Meanwhile, another savvy bargain hunter found boxes of Flakes containing a whopping 144 bars – for just £6.99.

Irish supermarket cuts price of major Cadbury bargains to just 99p

The eagle-eyed shopper shared his discovery on a similar Facebook group.

Referring to the packaging on the box which said: “For ice cream and culinary use,” someone jokingly posted: “Rude to assume they use it for ice cream, I could easily eat 144 flakes.”

Another chocolate lover added: “The better it is, any decent human being can eat their way through a box full of chocolates in less than half an hour. By far the best chocolate treat ever made.”

And a third agreed: “I could easily demolish this box!”

Meanwhile, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco are all selling a multipack of four flakes for £1.65, according to Trolley.co.uk.

Sainsbury’s also compares this with the nectar price, otherwise it is 20 cents more expensive.

The supermarket giant is also selling a single, apparently larger Cadbury flake for 75p.

It comes as shoppers are also desperate for a classic chocolate that has been reduced in price.

The iconic Cadbury Milk Tray is on special offer at a major supermarket, but won’t be around for much longer.

What’s more, Aldi is currently offering the cheapest selection of Cadbury crème eggs, costing £2.25 for a 200g carton.

And choccy fans were left “dribbling at the mouth” after a Tesco cut the price of Britain’s second favorite chocolate.

The cost of the Galaxy Smooth Milk bar has been halved in stores – grab them while you can.

Elsewhere, fans were excited after Nestle launched a brand new chocolate just before Easter.

The new treat, called the Nestle Aero share-a-bubble, has a choco-hazelnut flavor – and customers claim it tastes just like Nutella.

The alleged killer of Victorian mother Samantha Murphy has not revealed the whereabouts of her body after spending his fourth night behind bars.

Patrick Orren Stephenson, 22, has reserved the right to remain silent since he was charged with Ms Murphy’s murder last Thursday.

It is understood Stephenson has repeatedly refused to co-operate with police and has given no indication of where Ms Murphy’s remains might be, the Sunday Herald Sun reports.

Stephenson was arrested in Scotsburn, about 11 miles from Ms Murphy’s home, last Wednesday and charged with murdering the 51-year-old the following day.

Sunday marks five weeks since Ms Murphy left her Eureka St home for a 7am run on February 4, the same day Stephenson is accused of killing her.

Her family remains desperate for closure, while her husband, Mick Murphy, pleaded with Stephenson on Friday to cooperate with police.

‘We hope that he will change his mind a little and that he will cooperate. That will help bring her home,” he said.

“We’d like some more answers now.”

Victoria Police Chief Constable Shane Patton confirmed on Thursday that Stephenson had not disclosed the location of Ms Murphy’s body.

It is unclear what specific evidence led police to Stephenson’s arrest.

However, it is understood much of Victoria Police’s investigation involved CCTV footage from the East Ballarat area.

Officers recently obtained video of a light industrial and residential area, with homes and businesses on Elsworth, Joseph and Butt streets, showing that police requested their security footage.

Elsworth St leads into bushland managed by Parks Victoria.

It is not known whether the images obtained show Ms. Murphy or other vehicles of interest.

Officers also searched the area, including car detailers, roller doors and gymnasiums.

However, Commissioner Patton revealed that police would not proceed with the planned searches this weekend unless the location of Ms Murphy’s remains was otherwise discovered.

Dedicated volunteers have searched Ballarat bushland for five weeks but have found no trace of the missing mother.

Residents said they saw officers at a house on Yendon No. around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. 2 Rd, in Scotsburn – the time Stephenson was arrested.

A neighbor claimed officers seized the 22-year-old’s vehicle, a white four-wheel drive.

The car is reportedly being examined by specialist officers.

SEBI’s strict action was taken after it found serious lapses while JM Financial acted as lead manager on a particular public issue, states said.

JM Financial

The SEBI on March 7 banned JM Financial from acting as lead manager for any new public issue of debt securities. In an interim order, the regulator has banned JM Financial from taking on new mandates as a manager of bond issues.

SEBI’s strict action was taken after it found serious shortcomings while JM Financial was acting as lead manager for a particular public issue, Mint reported.

“In respect of the existing mandates, JM may act as lead manager for public issuance of debt securities for a period of two months,” Sebi’s full-time member Ashwani Bhatia said in the interim order. The company has been given 21 days to file its response/objections in the matter, Mint reported.

JM Financial on SEBI action

Reacting to SEBI’s action, JM Financial said it would fully cooperate with market regulator SEBI in its investigation into public issuance of debt securities. Earlier, Sebi also imposed restrictions on parent company JM Financial to act as lead manager for any new public debt issuance, Business Today reported.

“The way the subscriptions for this public debt issuance have been managed is shocking. The transactions at each stage of this public issue appear to have been executed in a predetermined and premeditated manner; and conducted clinically to ensure enrollment and success… In the process, market integrity and fair pricing have been compromised,” the Sebi order said.

Before SEBI, the country’s central bank RBI also imposed restrictions on JM Financial this week after finding loan discrepancies sanctioned by the company for IPO financing and NCD subscriptions.

RBI’s action against JM Financial

The RBI banned JM Financial from providing any form of financing against shares and bonds, including sanctions and loan disbursements against an initial public offering (IPO) of shares and against subscription of bonds.

RBI also said it is investigating any regulatory violations and lapses by the concerned banks separately.

“This action is necessitated due to certain serious deficiencies observed in respect of loans approved by the company for IPO financing and NCD subscriptions,” the RBI said on March 5.

One savvy shopper took to a bargains and discounts page on Facebook to share the news.

The user posted a photo of the deal alongside the caption: “Tesco large 360g bars of galaxy chocolate.”

The post has since racked up hundreds of likes and hundreds of comments from equally enthusiastic chocolate fans.

One shopper wrote: “Be perfect as a Mother’s Day gift.”

Another said: “Better than Easter eggs…much better for your money.”

Dozens of others tagged their friends and family, begging them to pay attention and buy the goods for them.

While one user decried: “The price difference to a club card. Is an absolute disgrace.”

If you want to get your hands on one of these giant bars, it’s important to note that the deal is only open to Tesco Clubcard holders.

And remember, supplies will be limited from store to store and some may not have the chocolates at the same discounted price.

Smart shopper ‘never miss a thing’ and tells how to ‘read’ Tesco’s secret label codes to get the best deals

What can I get with the Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO’s Clubcard program allows customers to earn points while shopping.

These points can then be converted into vouchers for money on food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places such as restaurants and days out.

Every time you spend €1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers who use the loyalty card receive one point for every two liters they spend on fuel.

One point is equal to 1 cent, so for example, for 150 points you will receive a discount voucher of € 1.50.

You can double their value if you redeem them for discounts with ‘rewards partners’.

For example, vouchers worth €12 can be exchanged for a €24 subscription for three months to Disney+.

Or you can exchange 50p worth of points for £1 to spend in Hungry Horse pubs.

What you can spend them on changes regularly and you can check the Tesco website to see what’s available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prizes if they have the loyalty card.

The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you pay a higher price.

These Clubcard prices are usually listed on the shelves along with the non-member price.

But it’s worth noting that just because there’s a discount doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest, and you’ll need to compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up for a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.

The news comes after the retailer sent its customers into a frenzy over a major change that has cost them Clubcard points.

Tesco recently shut down a survey site that rewarded customers with Clubcard points and a chance to win a £1,000 voucher.

Shoppers in the store used to receive receipts encouraging them to visit tescoviews.com for a chance to win a gift voucher and earn 25 extra Clubcard points.

But this week, disappointed shoppers noticed that the retailer is no longer accepting survey responses through the site.

A notice on the address says it will instead contact customers directly for their views, and it is understood this will now be done via email.

Shoppers get one point for every €1 they spend while using their Clubcard, although double points are sometimes offered.

Each Clubcard point is worth 1p to spend at Tesco, so 500 points equals £5 cash.

Section 144 in Pune: According to police, key restrictions include all bars and permit rooms strictly adhering to the 1:30 am closing time.

Section 144 imposed in Bengal’s Sandeshkhali after violent protest

Pune: The restrictions imposed under Section 144 have been extended in Pune till March 31, Pune Police said, adding that the decision was taken after consultation with all stakeholders. Earlier this month, Section 144 was imposed in the city by the Pune Police until March 4.

Giving details, Pune Police said that a meeting was held with all stakeholders on February 28 and the authorities had considered all suggestions and objections from them and accordingly a revised order was passed on Monday.

After the meeting, Pune Police issued 26 directives for a safe environment and maintenance of peace in the city.

View the full list of restrictions

  1. According to police, the main restrictions are that all bars and permit rooms strictly adhere to the 1:30 am closing time.
  2. All indoor music performance limits must be 1:30 am.
  3. The limit for outdoor music performances should be 10:00 PM.
  4. No more orders for food and drinks may be taken after 1:15 am.
  5. A 30 minute grace period will be allowed to leave their establishment.

The police said they have incorporated possible suggestions from the stakeholders, and now all stakeholders must adhere to the police guidelines.

Commenting on Section 144 in the city, Ganesh Shetty, president of Pune Restaurants and Hoteliers Association (PRAHA), told HT, “We have told the police that some police officials are forcing restaurant owners to close at 11.30 pm. They should at least allow us to do business before 1:30 am. ”

He further added that they have requested the police not to intervene in liquor-related cases. According to the government’s GR, such cases should be dealt with by the state excise department.

Over time, cold cases become increasingly difficult to solve as witnesses die and evidence goes stale.

But one ‘badass’ cop in California has solved an astonishing eight cold cases – cracking ‘more in three years than any single detective in the last 15’.

Using a series of ‘out of the box’ schemes, Matt Hutchison, 39, at the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety in California, has worked his way through six decades-old murders and two sexual assaults – and all in his spare time.

He’s posed as a trash collector and a busboy in bars to gather DNA, and even flown to Hawaii to make an arrest.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, he said: ‘Each case presents a different set of problems, there are highs and lows and disappointments. In my mind there is always a way to get to the end result. Just walking away because it’s difficult is not an option.’

Detective Matt Hutchison has solved eight cold cases in the last seven years

He said his goal is to find answers for every family who has been waiting years for justice and for the original detectives who have endured ‘sleepless nights’ over cases that were never solved.

He started his first cold case in 2014, saying: ‘It just struck me that these families are still waiting. The first family I spoke with made a comment that they hadn’t heard from our department in some time and I could hear the hurt in their voice. It didn’t sit right with me, we shouldn’t forget these victims.’

Detectives are only allowed to work on cold cases when they aren’t busy with their standard caseload. So Hutchison squeezes in time here and there between his day job and spending time with his wife and two young sons.

‘These are the types of cases that consume you, you don’t switch off on the drive home,’ he said, ‘I can be watching TV with my wife and something hits you and I’ll make a note.’

It isn’t easy, he added: ‘I feel like I absorb these cases and I care so much that they are constantly in my head, I try to take that and make it motivation. I have put pictures of the victims on my desk.

When it gets tough, he said he reminds himself: ‘My job or my burden is nothing compared to what they went through. So I think, stop feeling sorry for yourself Matt, and get back to work.’

Deputy District Attorney, Rob Baker, who has worked with Hutchison on many of his cases, said: ‘Intelligence, tenacity and empathy are the three hallmarks of every great investigator.

‘[Hutchison is] one of the greatest investigators with whom I’ve had the privilege to work.’

Here DailyMail.com reviews some of the cold cases he’s solved.

The 1982 murder of Karen Stitt

Karen Stitt was last seen in 1982, walking to a bus stop around midnight to travel home after a date with her boyfriend in Sunnyvale.

The next morning, a delivery driver found the 15-year-old’s naked body hidden behind a low, blood-stained wall.

She had been sexually assaulted and stabbed 59 times.

Karen Stitt was murdered in 1982 when she was just 15

Her case went cold for 40 years, despite 20 detectives looking at it, until Det Hutchison picked it up

Her case went cold for 40 years, despite 20 detectives looking at it, until Det Hutchison picked it up

Despite a thorough investigation with over 20 different detectives picking it up, there were no significant leads in the case, until Hutchison took it on nearly four decades later.

He used a sample of blood and bodily fluid recovered from Stitt’s body and sent it for the latest form of DNA testing, called Investigative Genetic Genealogy.

The results weren’t good, there were only three matches and they were all so tenuous – third cousins – as to be almost useless. The genetics company told him the case was ‘very unlikely’ to ever be solved.

Many people would have given up, but Det Hutchison kept going, plugging away at leads in his own spare time even when he was rotated out of the homicide department.

He said: ‘With Karen that was years in the making, there were times when it ground to a halt. We had disappointments.’

Hutchison decided to contact the three third cousins. Two were no help, but the third helped them draw out a family tree which led him to four brothers.

He found all four and gathered their DNA to rule out two. Using social media he then narrowed it down and identified who he believed to be the offender.

Gary Ramirez, now 75, was arrested last year and is awaiting trial for her murder

Gary Ramirez, now 75, was arrested last year and is awaiting trial for her murder

In August 2022, Hutchison and 14 other officers flew to Maui to arrest former Fresno resident Gary Ramirez, 75, on suspicion of murdering Karen Stitt.

They took a DNA sample and it was a direct match. He said: ‘I felt a mix of emotions, it floods back to me now, relief, pride, gratefulness to be in a position to be able to tell the family it’s done, we have him.’

Ramirez was extradited from Hawaii and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing in his trial. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

The 1979 murder of Elena Mena

Elena Mena was 18 years old and working as a security guard at a Sunnyvale office building on a quiet Saturday afternoon when she was stabbed to death during an attempted sexual assault.

An office worker interrupted the assault and the suspect fled, but Mena later died in hospital.

Despite the case being picked up again and again over the years, there were no major breakthroughs – until Hutchison took up the file and identified a new DNA set on Mena’s shoe.

They sent the blood off for testing and found a direct match to Samuel Silva, a man with a long history of violent crime.

Silva had died in 2008 so the department closed the case under ‘exceptional’ conditions meaning the evidence was sufficient to convict him, had he been alive.

Hutchison said: ‘In that kind of a case it’s bitter sweet, yes you have the answer, but you can’t hold the person accountable.

‘Even if he can’t be prosecuted the family still deserves the answer.

‘I still want to prove it beyond the reasonable doubt so that if they have any questions, I can give them the answers.’

The 1979 murder of Keith Judd

Bar owner, Keith Judd, 45, was attacked and killed during a robbery in 1979.

The father of two was found lying in a pool of blood by one of his employees and rushed to hospital where he died.

At the time officers found fingerprints, and even arrested a suspect. But the district attorney’s office declined to prosecute citing not enough evidence.

Then decades later, Hutchison found ‘fingerprint evidence that had been misplaced’ and re-examined the case.

They identified Thomas Hinnard, a man in his 80s who lived in Sunnyvale at the time of the killing and frequented Judd’s bar.

Hutchison said: ‘The evidence was fingerprints, we didn’t know where he was living but a simple Google search led to public information that he was potentially living in a homeless encampment a few hours away.

‘We had to be strategic and make sure we didn’t lose him. There was a very thought out plan of approach to this case to not let on what we were suspecting.’

Hutchison then spent many months locating and re-interviewing dozens of people.

In February 2021, they arrested Hinnard and charged him with the murder of Keith Judd.

The department said at the time: ‘Sometimes an arrest may take years or even decades, but our detectives are relentless and work hard behind the scenes to help bring justice to victims and their families.’

Hutchison recovered 'misplaced' fingerprint evidence and identified Thomas Hinnard as a suspect - he was arrested in 2021

The 1996 rape of a seven-year-old girl

In March 1996, a seven-year-old girl identified only as Jane Doe was at home with her family when she answered the phone to a stranger, claiming to be a doctor.

The man told her to sneak out of her home to see him at which point he took her to a nearby side yard and raped her.

The girl survived and DNA was taken from her clothing but no match was found.

Twenty-seven years later, Hutchison picked the case up and identified a suspect.

He said: ‘We knew we needed to get DNA from our suspect, we looked for all kinds of ways to get eyes on him, to know where he might be.

‘Public information available online led to a pattern of behavior so we knew where he might be on that night.’

Hutchison decided his best chance was to go undercover as a busboy at the Irish bar they thought he would be at to gather his food and drinks in the hope of getting a sample.

He collected his half-eaten hot wings, beer cup and straws and sent them off for testing: there was a match, Richard Jeffrey Martinez.

Martinez was arrested last year and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing in his trial.

Since then, police have identified two other possible victims. If convicted, he faces 50 years to life in prison.

But once again, the victory was bittersweet, Hutchison said: ‘The victim is still alive, and this happening to her when she was seven. Then me contacting her almost 30 years later, I’m keenly aware of how much pain me even calling to ask would cause.

‘I only wanted to call if I knew I could solve it. And I knew I could. I know it wasn’t easy for her, I was opening a wound that she might prefer to keep closed.’

The 1969 murder of Susan DeLeon

In 1969, high school student Susan DeLeon was strangled to death and her body was left near the entrance to the city dump.

A man she babysat for, Charles Maine Jr., was identified as a person of interest at the time, but when he provided an alibi, saying he was at a class with his wife, Barbara when the murder happened, he was cleared and the case went cold.

But then in 2017,  Karol Smith – who had worked for the department on organizing many of the cold cases – had a breakthrough.

She realized that the name of Maine’s wife was incorrect in his alibi and found a letter from his real ex-wife, Ellen, sent in 2008, which said she believed Maine had murdered DeLeon.

Maine’s alibi crumbled and with Smith, Hutchison started digging. The pair found a mention in the records that DeLeon had been ‘newly parous’, in other words: pregnant.

They began to suspect DeLeon had told Maine she was pregnant and he had killed her for it.

Despite the new evidence, in 2018 the Santa Clara DA at the time declined to prosecute, saying he wasn’t convinced the evidence was sufficient.

Maine then died in an Oregon hospital in early 2019 and at that point, prosecutors declared the case ‘exceptionally’ cleared, deciding if he had been alive, there was enough evidence to charge and convict him.

With each new case Hutchison solves, he gains momentum to solve more.

He said: ‘I have two cold case homicides that I’m working and we have active leads that we are pursuing.’

Ending with a message for families of victims, he said: ‘You guys do the hard work by keeping hope alive, by keeping your loved one’s memory alive.

‘Never give up, and don’t feel like you’re bothering the department, we can solve these cases and we should be.’

The Breakaway bar, first introduced in 1970, will no longer be produced from March.

Nestlé said fans can still buy the bar from retailers in February and March, while supplies last.

Meanwhile, Yorkie cookie bars, not to be confused with Yorkie chocolate bars, have already been phased out.

Fans have been devastated by the news that the two chocolates will be gone for good, and just months after the chocolatier pulled Caramac bars from shelves.

One said: “First it was the Caramac, now Breakaway bars!

“Nestlé is gradually removing my chocolate childhood from supermarket shelves.”

Another said: “It's the end of the world. What do we do now?”

A third added: “First Caramac and now they're getting rid of Yorkie and Breakaway bars. When will this selection of chocolate bar classics end?”

The Breakaway bar, a biscuit made from whole wheat, oat and coconut flour, wrapped in milk chocolate, was first launched in 1970 by Rowntree Mackintosh.

Nestlé took over production of the bar in 1988, making it a firm favorite among shoppers.

But the chocolatier said falling sales had forced him to ax the chocolate treat.

It added that it would introduce new products to the market, including a new Blue Riband Hazelnut which will be available in supermarkets from this month.

Shoppers can also get their hands on a newly launched Kitkat Chunky White Lotus and Aero Hazelnut starting this month.

A spokeswoman said: “We know fans will be disappointed to see it go, but it's time for us to say goodbye to Breakaway.

“We have seen a decline in Breakaway sales in recent years and have unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it.

“By saying goodbye to Breakaway, we can focus on our best-performing brands and develop exciting new innovations to delight consumers' taste buds.”

It comes after Nestlé announced in November it would ax the Caramac bar, with fans calling it a “travesty”.

The chocolatier said it had made the “difficult decision” following low sales.

A month later, The Sun revealed it had axed the Drifter bars after they were first launched in the 1980s.

Fans came out in droves and begged Nestlé to bring back the bar.

One said: “Nestle, do us all a favor and bring back the Drifter so people can have a nice cup of tea with a Drifter… these need to be brought back.

“There is no cookie/chocolate bar that can compare to the deliciousness of the caramel waffle!”

Another wrote: “Can you please bring back the best chocolate bar you ever made: Drifter.”

Meanwhile, Cadbury quietly axed its popular Dairy Milk 30% less sugar bar in 2023, leaving fans in shock.
